Muschamp fired

he is getting millions in buyout money and surely will get a top DC job somewhere -- I dont think he is to disappointed about that.

In case you didn't notice, that was a reference to his comment after the UT game on his delight at seeing 100,000 Vol fans going home disappointed. What goes around comes around. Surely, he's disappointed at failing at his first head coaching job. Not going to look good on his resume.

I tend to agree. Especially when you consider that his first coaching job was in the middle of a recruiting hotbed at a (puke) historical program where he also inherited a ton of talent from daddy Urban.

asu coach todd graham left pitt after one yr cuz he knew asu was an upgrade i think he would take the job if offered just for the fla recruits he has to take tx, cali, nevada etc scraps at asu and make it work

id shoot for hugh freeze and gary patterson first tho then mullen then i guess graham after that

i really want somebody thats been doing more with less 3 out of those 4 have been doing that at miss st, asu, tcu

Saw an article on the internet and heard it from a Gator fan at church this morning that a decision would be made today. That was pretty fast from hearing it this morning. Thought it would possibly happen from what happened in the last 1:30 in yesterday game against South Carolina. Gators had a 7 point lead with less than 4 minutes left and ready to kick a FG. It was blocked and SC recovered but then had to kick back to Florida. Gators were 3 and out and had to punt with under a minute left. The punt was blocked. Play of the game for SC and they scored to tie game to send to OT. Bad for the Gators-their demise! Ah!

Thanks for a synopsis of the game. Most of us don't have TV's so we didn't get to watch it nor see the highlights on SportsCenter.

Read the background on Graham and his wife. He's not leaving.

Halfway through it mentions why he's at ASU.

I have to admit, I'm terrified that they may be able to land Patterson.

would be my first choice him and freeze

always had a good defense and now that offense almost won a 100 point shootout with frickin baylor!

hell i think they have a decent shot to win it all at tcu if they get in so who knows if could steal him he's got a good thing there

mike gundy has been a very solid coach for a long time and almost jumped at the tenn job he'd be my 5th choice

So who's going to be Florida's Gruden?

The one single coach that will return prominence within one season and have to have come hell or high water.

I was meaning in the coaching search sense.

We had Gruden, Texas had Saban, Michigan has Harbaugh, USC had Fisher.

So who's going to be your guy's Gruden?

Harbaugh is interesting. He's a Michigan Man and Hoke's all but out... but recruiting is easier at UF. And it's the SEC, so the challenge would appeal to his ego.

Patterson, Gundy and Stoops are approached for every decent job and never leave. Mullen's probably ready to move on and up. All that talk about loving Starkville will just up the offer.

The road to victory for Florida lies squarely with shower discipline. They know what to do.
