Mustain Gone

Nutt is taking alot of crap heat over this. In a way, I can't blame him. If you're going to be the head coach, be the head coach and call no BS on everyone else. He, nor any HC, can let players and moms and dads etc., run his program. If he had fell to mommies knees the program really would be crapping out. He stood his ground and rightfully so. May not have won the popularity vote, but he had to stand. The blame is on all the whiners. If Mustain was truly talented, he could have QB'd from a huddle. You don't bad mouth your HC while you're enrolled, and certainly not during the season. Bad character. Spoiled player.

You're right to some degree, but that in no way exonerates the AD or HC for feeding the kid a line of absolute garbage in the recruiting process. "That's the way recruiting goes" is not an excuse. The kid eventually has to put his trust in someone and he, correctly, ignored his parents and went with his HS coach (who also believed the UA AD).

Mitch is culpable to some degree in this problem, but it has nothing to do with being spoiled or having no character. Now recognizing the truth, he will go forward and do what he believes is right for him, which I agree with.

I'll assure you that the UA fans are very unhappy with this turn of events because it means several more years of the status quo (run, run, run, punt).

thank you very much. I believe we have the steal of this class in this kid. He is a 4 star on Scout and is about to be promoted to a 4 star on Rivals.

Arkansas is in a mess and at the same time, they have the talent coming back to be very good again!

I think Nutt's days are numbered, He will peobably end up wishing he had taken that nebraska offer. I still think he screwed Mustain and Gus.

Good to see BJ Coleman get some love around here. When he first committed, alot of folks acted as though we had just landed Elmer Fudd...

no, no, no, he's not Elmer Fudd, he's the second coming of Peyton Manning. You can't fault us for some of that, it is going to be difficult to pull for a guy named BJ.

I say good for him he is going to torch C-USA defenses and get drafted in the NFL...How many pass happy, no huddle, shotgun qb's have succeded in the NFL?? Exactly none so we are looking at the next Andre Ware oh wait he won't win a Heisman in a second rate conference...so maybe Kliff Kingsbury :post-4-1090547912:

Lose the OC and the QB of the future after a 10 win season. That place has more politics than congress.

This is all BS. Nutt lost control of this program the day he brought these clowns in. He sold out so he could get AR messiah and his teamates. He hired a HS coach to be OC in the SEC!! Now the parents come in and start to bitch because their babies don't get to play enough, excuse me who is the Head Coach here. I feel sorry for Nutt, he is a good man, but he should have never brought any of these clowns in.

the dude is a joke...he may torch the conference usa but he's gonna get drilled for taggin' the hip of his high school coach and bein' his shadow...

he's already gettin' the reputation that he can't play without his high school coach... :cray:

what's he gonna do when his high school coach isn't there and his mom isn't there to get diarrhea of the mouth???

he should have known he was gettin' taken :shaking2: when ole coach bust-a-nutt hired his high school coach to be on arkansas' staff just to simply get him...

You may be right, but there is another perspective to this as well. These guys (including Malzahn) felt like they were lied to. Yeah, I know, all kinds of things go on in recruiting and these guys were green to the process But now I'm an old guy, and they are right : Ly'in ain't no good.
I wish all of them the best. They had a tough year with a lot of pressure.
