Most people don't like Tamme cause he can't block, and he hasn't produced without Manning. This is why the Broncos can get away with only paying him $1M this year. To put that in perspective, Clark is making $2.7M for fewer catches. Clark had a great career, but it was slowing down 3 years ago.
I agree with all of that. But can we agree having to rely on 2 rookie TEs is generally tough?
I don't know. Just for the simple fact that they've only worked together 1 season gives Luck a bump for his productivity with them, but I don't think TE is a position that requires much adjustment from college to the NFL. Relatively speaking.
Luck shouldn't be ROY IMO.
1. Russell Wilson by a smidge over RGIII. 51 to 50.
At the end of the day winning ROY the year doesn't mean anything. Didn't Young win it? My order would be Luck, Wilson, Griffin. If we are looking at numbers alone I can see how he might not win it even though he has thrown way more passes than either of the other 2. But I think it should be looked at what the player means to the team and look at all the entire picture.
Alfred Morris has a legit chance to finish second in the league in rushing to only AP himself, if you think that is because of RGIII you are crazy. He is a helluva back, and RGIII opens it up for him.. but let's be honest Royster wouldn't have came close to those numbers, neither would've Helu. A back like that will help any QB.
that same team that won 2 games last year was consistently winning 10+ games a year with Manning. Luck threw 90 bazillion passes, in which only 45 bazillion were caught and 20 bazillion of them were interceptions. Throwing lots of yards when all your team does is pass shouldn't be considered an accomplishment. His QBR is one of the worst in the league, going into today no one had thrown more INTs, and he barely completes 50% of his passes. His stats really aren't that good.
