Guys played hard. That's not the issue.

-58 pts and an L. Go figure.

-at least 12 turnovers in our halfcourt offense. I remember 1 running the floor. If you are slowing the pace and turning it over, it freaking kills you

-CM called a timeout after Jrich hit a 3 with 6:15 left. We didn't score again for 2 minutes, scored 3 pts in the next 4 minutes and 7 pts for the rest of the game.

-UT was outscored 14-7 after that timeout by CM. And ftr, the crowd had just been fired up by that 3, then basically sat down.

-Before halftime pretty much sums up the last 3 years. Up 3, shooting lights out, have the last shot and can go up 5 or 6 into half. What do we do? Go to the rim with 9 seconds left, go in with a 1 pt halftime lead, and zap momentum.

UF is good. Another opportunity gone though. 58 pts isn't going to cut it.

and as you all have said, zo does that consistently.

it's like he's upset someone hit a 3 or something. if there is energy in the building, you don't take it away

The timeout just further proves that CM does not have a clue what he is doing. Thats normally what opposing coaches do.

Calls TO after a big 3.

Changes from 1-3-1 to man-to-man after getting 8 great defensive possessions from the zone.

Doesn't call any offensive plays when you need a bucket to prevent a mini run.

Sometimes I wonder if UT is paying him to win games or if the opponent is paying him to lose games.

Oh he does it on purpose. It's completely inexplicable. I cannot think of a single strategic advantage it gives your team.

He does it for defensive purposes, it's been brought up and answered by him. He doesn't call it after every 3, it's after what he feels is a big one, and he wants to set something up or correct something defensively to turn the made 3 into a stop and opportunity for a run.

Not saying it's right, just giving the reason. And like I said above he's not the only coach doing it.

you don't have to call a timeout. You yell out the defensive call while the whole team is right in front of you after the ball goes thru the net. He probably needs the timeout because he's not prepared to make the call right then and there. Not like he set up a full court press or anything.

tired of not being entertained, by the way. If we are going to lose, let's lose 78-74 and have some fun. Turnovers and 58 pts is boring, ugly, losing basketball. And I'm tired of seeing it.

Direct your complaints to Mr. Hart, because as of now you got about 13 more months of it.

Sparty beat me to it, but there is no reason to call a timeout to set defense. With the amount of time this staff supposedly spends on defense during practice, he should have no problems just signaling the defense in without a timeout.

I would have issue with any coach who did it.

Pretty sure that was the possession he switched from 1-3-1 to man. Seriously, just yell man at your team. They should know what to do.

Your last statement is not truthful and not fair. We went to the basket, and Stokes got fouled with 9 seconds left. He missed the free throw, which gave UF the ball. That is execution. I am not a fan of waiting until the last few seconds at the end of the first half because the clock runs after a made shot. You misstated that big time. Sorry, Sparty.

Have you not noticed how much our defense struggles?

ours was a coach standing up, holding a fist and three fingers with the other hand and yelling "Sting 3!" about 5 times as the pg is yelling it too. Takes 5 seconds. UF isn't getting over midcourt for almost 10 seconds after that bucket anyway.
Ridiculous excuse. My gut tells me he wasn't thinking ahead, Jrich hit the 3 and he called a TO so he could put in the zone. He has to have that in his head and be ready to belt it out.
