Name your most hated ESPN analyst

Musberger for sure. I'll also add Bob Davie, does he do ESPN? I am not back into full football mode yet.

Musberger could overdramatize the commentary of someone making a ham sandwich, but he's in the booth for a reason.

Let us not forget Mike Patrick. He could make a false start sound like a top 10 play.

But I don't dislike Patrick. I think he's an alright cat. The only guy I don't like in the Football mix is Chris Fowler. He just spews of arrogant bastard.

One guy that gets no credit is Bob Ley. That guy is my favorite anchor at that station. As much arrogance as Chris Berrman has, Ley makes up with his integrity and class.

I didn't like Holtz at the first but he's getting to be that old idiot guy that hangs around that you just get used to. To the point that you look forward to his dumb line of the week.

Non-College Football I can't stand:
Dan Patrick (old school)
Keith Olberman (old school)
Chris Bermann
Stuart Scott
Joe Morgan
Mike Greenburg (Greeny)

Cats I like alot:
Scott Van Pelt
Craig Kilborn (old school)
Rece Davis (level headed for a Bama grad)
Colin Cowherd

I somewhat agree with him. Tiger is a phenomenal golfer but it is just silly that people act like he is one of the best athletes in the world. Golf is a game of skill, not an athletic sport. He is obviously more athletic than most on the PGA tour and that might give him an advantage but he should only be compared to the likes of Michael Jordan or Walter Peyton when talking about his competitiveness or his dominance of this era in golf.

Wow, I'm really sorry to hear that.

I like him because he goes deeper than sports. When talking on subjects he talks on the business aspects, psychological aspects, etc.

I can't stand radio host that just talk about sports and that is it. Ben Maller and also Steve Czaban on Fox Sports are good radio host in these respects.

When talking on Brett Favre Cowherd was coming at it from a different POV than anyone else that I heard in the infancy of the story. Differentiation is a beast.

Who's the woman play by play announcer on ESPN - usually one of the early games and probably a BigTen game. Her voice is so annoying.

Keith Jackson, I am so glad he retired. I was lucky and did not have to listen to him call the '98 NC game, got to here John Ward for the last time. Also, can't stand Beano Cook, man crush on Notre Dame, "Give the Heisman to Ron Powlus 4 years in a row."

Pam Ward. She actually knows her football pretty well although it takes a lot of getting used to hearing a female call play-by-play.

Brian Kenny.

Can't stand this guy at all. He tries to be too confrontational. Kind of like Dan Patrick. That guy is a tool also.

Favorite is Craig Kilborn, circa 10ish years ago...

Kilborn and Olbermann were classic back in the day.

Woody Page however is the man. represent.

Woody is a genius!

Hate to hear her voice! Fingernails on a chalkboard. Wonder what goes through Speilman's head while he is in the booth with her.

Have you ever even picked up a golf club? Seen one?

I want to see if everyone agrees on the worst or most hated ESPN analyst.

Mine personally is Brent Musberger. I couldn't stand to listen to him during last years Cal game because of the ridiculous stuff that comes out of his mouth. He kept pokin fun at the SEC every time Cal scored.

Musberger ISN'T an analyst. He is a play-by-play announcer...like Vern L and Al Michaels.....two different things....with that being said it is easily Lou Holtz for me. Typical redneck as well

Sorry guys but I would have to agree with him. I have played golf for 15 years and am pretty good, especially when I play often but I have never been much of an athlete. I mean I played baseball and basketball in high school but I can't run fast or dunk or anything like that.

So you can quit trying to convince your wives how athletic you are because you ride around in a cart, drink beer, smoke cigars, and swing a club 80 times. Half of which are putts, and we all know how much athleticism putting requires. :)

You don't hear about too many golfers being any good at anything else. Whereas the best athletes in basketball, baseball, football, at some point in time were pretty good at all three sports and maybe even more.

Next your gonna try to tell me how great of an athlete Dale Jr. is! Get real!

I have and can play golf. However,I don't mistake golf skill for athletic prowess. I'm proud of you if your golf score makes you feel like an athlete. I'm sure that you're right up there with Daly.

I'm not, but suspect I can beat you at most sports, including golf.

the difference between being "pretty good" and really good is enormous and athleticism is one of the biggest difference makers.

I don't know how much golf you know, but large swaths of the best golfers were extremely good at other sports.

Have you ever played an actual athletic sport or do you only play golf and pretend to be athletic? Golf is a sport in the way that bowling or darts is a sport. For God's sake there is a senior tour! I'm not knocking anybody who plays golf. I play from time to time and have a lot of fun making a fool of myself but you are fooling yourself if you think you're an athlete because you play golf.

I picked up golf after I finished my more physical athletic career. I'll assure you that I fared fine at the other sports and that golf is easily the most difficult of all of them to excel in.

I'm not calling myself an athlete, just saying that I can likely beat you at most sports.

I've heard Pam Ward plenty of times. I still haven't heard a female commentator during those games.

Exactly what I was trying to say but with much more eloquence.
