Just hard for me to believe that if someone wanted to carry out this "hoax" they would be stupid enough to do it in one of the most secure filmed locations in the NASCAR back staging/garage area. Even though I am more conservative, I still can't wrap my head around someone going through this length for it to be a hoax. AND if BW was in on it, then went ahead with all the theatrics in the pre-race yesterday and his comments afterwards...I don't see how you would come back from that if it came out as true.

However, putting so much energy into trying to disprove it without any evidence to support or deny the claim is the exact type of thing we have an issue with. It’s the insane levels of mental gymnastics used to try and disprove anything racial being done to a black person before any facts come out. It’s happened here. Is it possible the crew member saw the garage pull for the first time and mistook it for a noose (honestly) and now everyone is trying to figure out how to walk it back?

The big question for me is the single witness and no photo evidence - will be interesting to hear the story.

Yeah, it looks like a noose, so if somebody cut it off and placed it to **** with Bubba, it doesn't change anything about the current media narrative.

Like you're alluding to, it's also possible somebody innocently just tossed it in their garage on a visible location after seeing it on the ground. That would be so funny if that was the reality. I think that's the outcome we should all hope for. It would mean there wasn't a racist act. It would be a lesson on waiting to judge. And it also revealed how willing NASCAR was to stand behind Bubba. Literally everybody involved wins.

I could see that he wasn't part of it. Could be a case of mistaking a garage pull for a noose. In Oakland some guy (black guy) put hand holds in trees and someone complained that they were nooses (they weren't). The mayor immediately declared it a hate crime even after the guy who did it explained it.

I keep going back to only 1 person seeing it. Until his story is released we don't know what he saw, where he saw it and if he documented it in anyway.

I could also see one of his own crew members putting it there for the attention/victim factor thinking it would only get nascar's attention. Then the FBI gets involved and that crew member would now be scared to death because he never imagined they would get involved

No, but in the SM (up to the second) world we live in, the "evidence" fuels the outrage. Here, the outrage was simply fueled by what someone said they found. Usually there is a video, pic, SOMETHING to give credence to the issue.
