Yeah I agree with you. Like I’ve said I’m a fan of the sport and of him but he looks like an idiot at this point and is just doing more damage by continuing to talk.I don’t know that I think he intentionally started all of this. I do think it’s interesting that the platforms he’s chosen to plead his case. The View and Don Lemon don’t really align with the NASCAR demographic that he should be trying to reach. It sure seems like he’s looking for allies with people that have overtly mocked NASCAR and their fans for years. That’s not gonna improve your brand by alienating your base. Joy Behar and others are gonna care about you for about 3 days then you become old news behind the next batch of faux outrage.
Following up: Bubba said the FBI said it wasn't a functioning noose. Since this is not a common garage pull rope knot, someone was sitting in the garage bored and fashioned it. It's unfortunate NASCAR doesn't have a garage pull rope knot standard.
I wasn’t really that familiar with him. I knew there was a black driver, but I didn’t know his name was Bubba Wallace. I think it’s great for NASCAR to have diversity, but you’re right, he’s not helping himself here. If someone is guiding him here they are doing a poor job of helping him.Yeah I agree with you. Like I’ve said I’m a fan of the sport and of him but he looks like an idiot at this point and is just doing more damage by continuing to talk.
But the handling of this affair is a bad look for Bubba. He seemingly assumed this would play out the way LeBron James’ alleged hate crime played. So did LeBron, a newly ordained pastor of racial politics at the More Than A Vote Church of BLM. Pastor James rushed to social media this weekend to make sure his 46 million Twitter disciples knew Wallace was a victim of a hate crime.
