I won't lose any sleep over it but he has to know the term noose is racially loaded. It is not a noose, though it may resemble one. Continuing to call it one when it's been explained that it isn't seems a poor choice.

I get the impression he's mad that people think he intentionally did this (which doesn't appear to be the case) and can't separate that (legit anger) from acknowledging there was no racial attack on him and that it was a misunderstanding - he's been quite vocal on the first part and virtually silent on the second. I don't think he needs to apologize but given all the racial tension it would be nice to hear him say this actually wasn't a case of racism. Same for the media which seems bent on chasing down the noose angle rather than stepping back and saying "whoopsie". Same for NASCAR. No one ever wants to admit a mistake.

That's not what I said. Obviously, I know for there has to be a tightening function for hanging a man, but I didn't know that "noose" is a term only used for looped knots that tighten. For all I knew, a "noose" was any kind of looped knot. I know there are other kinds of nooses, otherwise nobody would ever specify hangman's noose.

I haven't gone back through all this thread (pretty long). Has anyone said that he did it?
Based on what I've heard and read about it, it was there for a while, since last fall. I doubt his was the only stall with a rope in it.
Why can't people just investigate and get the facts before letting something blow up like this is my issue.

The plural wouldn't go on the possessive there, I wouldn't think. It'd be nooses, unless more than one hangman owned a noose.
It wouldn't be the same as women's clothes, because clothes is already plural.
I guess.

It's not the same one. Similar though.

Listening to local radio apparently the garages where he were rebuilt last year and the Oct race may have been the first one using the new garages.

That may be from the older garages at Talladega and I believe the video this comes from shows similar pulls in other garages. May be at another track.
