It's weird, the only people making racial connotations are the one's refusing to believe it's a noose. It's like y'all are super defensive and afraid people are calling you out personally for whatever reason.

I actually didn't hear the Smollett comparisons until Bubba came out (after the FBI ruled it not a hate crime) and kept insisting it was a noose as if it was indeed racially motivated. And, ftr, I think it's an unfair comparison. I don't think Bubba planned this. But he does control his own reaction. Like I said, he easily could have diffused this once the results of the FBI investigation were known, but he chose not to. That's the only thing I have faulted him for. He continues to make more of this than what it is.

It doesn't make me happy at all. I didn't choose the wording in the report that was compiled after 15 FBI agents completed their investigation. I wasn't on the team of agents, so I wasn't involved any more than you were. I just find it interesting how so many people are triggered and claim that Wallace proliferated some type of racial connotation by referring to the rope with the same terminology the FBI used in their report.

Really? That's what you think? You obviously haven't been paying attention to what's going on around the country. Or you're just being purposely dense. Hell, maybe it's not even purposely, maybe you just are dense.

Noose, loop knot, uni knot, slip knot... it was some guy who got bored months ago and tied a certain knot because he could. Doubt he gave it a second thought.

I don't think it was a publicity stunt, but the current climate in our country led to a monstrous overreaction that should have/could have been avoided had calmer heads prevailed.

It was a possible hate crime and a lot of people to interview. They sent 2 dozen for Roger Stone so they appear to be doing better.

You’d think that the second guy to go look at the rope would notice that it was a garage pull and not some random rope that was brought into the garage to send a message.

Thing is, there’s probably a 3rd group. The people that will ignore the FBIs conclusion, continue to use this as an example of a hate crime, and spread more hate and discontent by referencing the racist threat against BW.

The first agent on the scene sensed something was different about this garage pull rope than all the other garage pull ropes at the track. What do you think that was? What do you think the second and third guy thought when they saw it and looked around at all of the other garage pull ropes?

Might be the backlash from all the racial tension. I’d hope we wouldn’t see that but it’s human nature unfortunately and the MSM and politicians certainly aren’t doing anything to calm things down.

I guess it was all the parading after the allegation that could lend a tiny bit of weight to the entire thing being some sort of stunt. Pushing the lone black mediocre driver to the front after he finished 14th. All the guilty ridden white guys bowing down. The selfies and photo ops. It was all a pretty pathetic display over nothing.
