Im saying almost all qbs would of struggled against Florida at the swamp for there first game and peterman probably would play better if they give him a chance. He is by far better for this offense then worley.

Hey nate dont throw to the white kids they will get you benched they had 2 droped passes for first downs

Not sure how goat is being used in this thread, because goat is short for scapegoat; and scapegoat actually refers to somebody who's blamed for a shortcoming, mistake, or negative result, but isn't necessarily the only guilty or responsible party.

For example, everyone who's saying UT would have won if Worley had started is making a scapegoat out of Peterman, because I think the defense bears much of the responsibility for the loss.

After all, Murphy was a 2* QB that UF had previously tried to turn into a WR, which is what he played last year; he had his very first collegiate completion yesterday... and he was effective even when the UT defense was still fresh.

Peterman was not the sole reason for the loss, so saying he was is making him the scapegoat and ignoring another deficiency.

I'm not sure throwing it to the white receivers is nearly as bad as his propensity for throwing it to our black players... pretty sure that had more to do with him getting benched.

Has anyone else watched this game more then once ...i thought he was terrible the first time I watched it. Then realized he actually payed better then worley most of the game

I am with you, looks like I might be the only one, but I'm with you. This was his first start versus a very good defense in a hostile environment, a very bad way to make a start. I would not measure him based on this performance. We might have won if Worley started early, but if Peterman gets another chance in the future and becomes comfortable, he might be good. His throwing is much better to me and he reacts much faster (without the happy feet that Worley has).

Its amazing that peterman actually had a better percentage of pass completions then worley even with the 3 drop passes by the recievers but no one sees these things
