Nathan peterman was better then his stats

His stats? We had 5 yards passing in the first half--5 yards! He ran the ball, what, 2 or 3 times for about 3 yards. He had not stats. Granted, the missed blocks weren't his fault--but on the first fumble there was obvious confusion with the call. The offense looked totally out of synch.

Lets start with the first fumble he had. It was a missed assignment by the RT. The next fumble he had was guess what another missed assignment by eather RB or RT. He even made better reads in the read options then worley. yes he did throw two interceptions but so did worley.

One of Worley's was the throw at the end of the game. Nathan had as many turnovers as yards.

Here goes the whole this QB is better than this one thing already, I must of seen a completely different game than some. Just waiting on it's time to start a true freshman at QB conversation and this board will go into full meltdown.

Did you notice what happened when he ran the option? It looked like he was in quicksand. I thought I missed the play and it was the slo-mo replay..

It want matter then we will have already blown any chance we had of going 6-6. I think realistically we could get there but if we keep messing around with the QB situation no way.

And how many yards did the offense have as a total when his day was through? He should have never been in the game to make that last INT.

He was better than his stats, including 4media dropped passes but the turnovers killed him. The fumble was the wrong play being ran by Peterman, according to Butch. But honestly Worley had one good drive and after that he looked almost as bad and this was his 4th game this yr and is showing zero improvement.

I think it says it all. If indeed his thumb is broken, he should not have put the team in that situation.

Any competitive QB would have done the same thing. When Bray broke his in the GA game he stayed in and played the series and was lucky not to be intercepted. These guys are competitors and he has worked hard to get his shot and didnt want to come out, dont blame him a bit.

But he did lead the offense to two scoring drives.

That's your opinion and I'm sure many would side with you, however I thought Butch should have pulled him after the 3rd TO. I thought the WKY game would be the only time I saw that many TO's on consecutive drives, but we came close.

He did, but outside of 3 good throws in those drives he looked like the same Worley. He had 2I int's and should have had atleast 2 others. Point is neither Worley nor Peterman have looked like SEC QB's. Difference with Worley is he has had 6I starts in his career at UT and played various other games and being a JR he really doesnt look to have shown any improvement. Hoping Ferguson or Dobbs get their chance to showcase what they can do. FR starting is becoming more and more common. HS offenses has these kids more ready to play than ever before. Yes they will make mistakes and need to be in a college strength and nutrition program but doesnt take near as long as it used too. Hell Riley has gained 20 lbs already just being here a few months. But if either are already on the same level or close already just being on campus a few months and having higher upsides then turn them loose and not have to worry about being in this position again next season. Guess thats why I am not a Coach, I know Coach will do whats best for the team. Have full trust in him.

I like Peterman personally. Hell if he doesnt have those early drops who knows what happens. They didnt let him run nor did they call him plays where he can throw on the run. Dont know many FR QB's that have great starts in their first start in the Swamp. Hell Peyton never beat UF at home or in the Swamp. Not an easy place to win as a 4 yr starter, muchless a RS Freshmans first start with 3 FR Receivers, 2 of which are true FR and a Sophomore.
