Because.....its 7mpg. The fuel cost is going to be astronomical no matter what. Even when prices were normal (not pandemic prices) you're still looking at 6k for fuel. Plane tickets are not that expensive.
Well for 1, its not going to change anything
yes it will , the amount you spend on every single thing you purchase will change , the quality and quantity will change because fuel prices affect every single commodity that is produced and moved . Higher fuel prices are only sustainable for so long before change becomes inevitable.
This is the insane **** that people don't understand.
In our very small business, the state and local governments took about $0.33 of every single dollar handed over our counter through all of the various taxes we were subject to. Our profit hovered around $0.10 per dollar at the best of times, and when COVID hit went lower with increased supply cost.
I've said it before and I'll say it again- the government and its cronies will scream about MuH rEcOrD pRoFiTs while covering for their "profit" generated by doing next to nothing. People need to start thinking of every dollar they earn and spend holistically and try to understand where each part of it really ends up.
EDIT: and by "profit" I include what we could pay ourselves for running the business, not "profit" that we held/rolled over/used to invest in things.
I fear this will go beyond recession.
Indeed. And it is why Biden deserves to be criticized nonstop.
When the whole world stopped to care about this stupid virus, you could at least point to the Trump administration doing an all out blitz to get a vaccine created and distributed with an urgency and dedication to the goal.
This is not to pump the vaccine or Trump, because I don’t really care about either and probably don’t agree with everything he did to make it happen. That said, they determined there was an urgent problem and dedicated themselves to reaching their solution.
Now we have a dipshit not acknowledging the seriousness of a the issue and making token moves like dipping into strategic reserves.
yeah but xiden sez not his fault! blame big oil! blame the repubs! blame extreme maga!He has spent his entire life in politics which means he has been surrounded by sheer incompetence. If anyone who voted for him expected a competent man then they were sorely mistaken. He has no clue how to solve anything other than throwing money at it. I have no doubt gas cards will be on the horizon to "help" offset the cost
It will because it more than just crazy fuel prices , look at that $1400+ a ton Anhydrous ( that’s insane ) ..
