‘23 NC DL Daevin Hobbs (Tennessee commit)

That's great news for us, but sucks if this guy's motives are too ruin the kid's moment because he's not picking UGA.
My thoughts as well.
These kids like their “moment in the lights” and maybe this clown is floating this out there to cause a trust issue with this kid and our coaching staff?

Mac Jones was a 3 star. Hurts was a 4 star and ranked 192 nationally on 246. So not necessary for them to have success. But I doubt they will develop someone like that under O'Brien.

I think Bama will be in the market for both a new OC and a portal QB. Bill O'Brien probably gets pushed out/takes a new HC gig somewhere else, maybe GT where he coached before taking the PSU job. Saban probably brings in someone like Mullen/Frost to run the offense.

Bama is averaging 45 ppg, 2nd in conference, 4th in the entire country.

I think BOB is a tool but why would he get pushed out? Now another job, perhaps.

I stood beside him recently. He's every bit of 6'6 260, he's not 280. He is being recruited to play SDE with the versatility to slide in and be a combo player on the interior on situational downs. Someone who would definitely know told me that he could avg 5-6 catches as a TE in CFB if he wanted to. He's crazy athletic for a man his size. The people that I know say that he's an every down DL. Strength programs are so specific now that there should be no worries about a prospect's weight. If a program wants someone at 275-285, there's no issue keeping them there if the person follows the regimen.

Yes and no.

Unless we have a staff of Biochemists on board, it's hard to subdue genetics.

Kurot Garland is about 305. He's been that for 3 years. But when he signed late he was 245 lbs. Only 6'3.

This kid is 3" taller and has wide shoulders.
You're not even gonna notice that he put 25 lbs on hardly.
What makes him a 5 star is that freakish athletic ability. Yeah...he can absolutely be a SDE and be that at 320 lbs....

People didn't see it early with the 2019 LSU team either. It's the nature of the beast. If we make the CFP, there will be guys whose stock will get inflated. Spraggins and Baron are two examples to add to Hyatt, Thomas, and McCoy. They had about 6 guys enter the draft that should have definitely come back.
Doesn’t mean this team will be like 2019 LSU team as far who leaves. No 2 situations are the same. GBO!!!!
