Heā€™s already said heā€™s announcing Wednesday. I guess that doesnā€™t mean heā€™s signing this week, but it seems to indicate he is. Otherwise, why announce? So that precludes waiting to see who UNC hires.

It would seem weird to sign with a school with no head coach. But he was supposed to inform the ā€œwinningā€ schoolā€™s coaching staff by now. Therein lies my concern.

Correct which is why I was saying he may decide to wait. He announced he was going to inform whichever school before Mack Brownā€™s firing. You would think we are the obvious choice. But with the news he may change his mind and wait.

If Iā€™m hiring UNCā€™s coach, Iā€™m not hiring an NFL dude whoā€™s never recruited. Granted, NIL mitigates the need for a great recruiter some, but doesnā€™t entirely eliminate that requirement.

Early tea leaves suggest theyā€™ll likely go after someone with UNC ties but who knows. Wonder if they approach Kiffin though since neither of the Florida jobs will be open this year. Good recruiter, and easier path to playoffs there.

Unless we are asking for this kid to commit to what we asked guys to commit too when we looking for CJH. He is committing to his hometown school. I hope we get him but I understand the allure of being a local guy...

Would be floored if he picked UNC over TN. Esp considering he came here right before announcing his decision day. anything is possible, and we can miss out on some blue chips, we've been there many times.
