The years below that line are really all that matters in relation to our current staff and situation.Since 2018, this is how many top 20 kids from UNC we’ve landed
2018: 0
2019: 2
2020: 0
2021: 0
--------------------
2022: 1
2023: 2
2024: 0
2025: 2, potentially 3 with Campbell.
2026: 1
Hopefully? I hope they hire a loser. I’d like to make nc our backyard on the recruiting front.Hopefully UNC learns from their mistake and doesn’t hire another coach that’s been out for a minute.
Other schools SHOULD take the UT route and hire a younger guy. Golesh would be the best move for them, hands down.
Every coach hopes to use that blueprint, doesn't mean they will succeed or that it will be sustainable i.e.- Butch. Also to be fair Butch let a lot of talent get out of the state still- Tee Higgins, Amari Rogers, Jalen Ramsey etc.If you can't recall it's because UNC has been a dumpster fire. That's the point. If UNC is good, it makes it harder. In the previous decade the best NC kids have been going to Clemson mostly. Now we are getting them. But if you look at their state rankings you'll see the top 20 kids are going to P4 programs nationwide. We're plucking from their Top 3 pretty much every year now.
One of the things Butch had to do when he started was stop letting the top TN kids leave. And he did that initially then lost it. Heupel has done it effectively, only not taking kids when we had a better alternative (Jared Curtis vs Faizon Brandon).
The new coach at UNC is going to use the same blueprint. Lock down the best players in North Carolina. If their staff are good recruiters and if they make a good hire that will affect us.
facts: kid dots every I.If he truly hasnt informed the staff sounds like he’s just waiting to see who UNC hires.
Maybe. I was thinking we would’ve heard more positive news by now.facts: kid dots every I.
Why wouldnt he?
iyam if he's working that hard to find a reason to not go to TN - then we are in 2nd place.
That said. My thoughts are he has signed Financial Aid, and commitment video has been filmed. That's what last visit was for.
I mean I always hear talk about committing to the school, I think I’d be pretty cool if a top recruit committed to us which we were in the middle of a coaching searchMaybe looking like this kid may just want to stay home. Someone, somewhere said he hasn’t told the staff anything yet.
Committing to a team with no coach would be a bold move. Guess we’ll find out soon.
Announcing Dec. 4, informing the school today or tomorrow
First quote is why I said what I did. Supposedly he was going to inform whoever he was committing to last week. I guess plans could change?facts: kid dots every I.

You do? About all I ever hear is “relationships “ with coaches that are built over months and years.I mean I always hear talk about committing to the school, I think I’d be pretty cool if a top recruit committed to us which we were in the middle of a coaching search
Be interesting to look back and see who we’ve wanted the last 5+ years and didn’t get and how they panned out. I’m too lazy to checkKeeping UNC incompetent is key to our success. I wouldn’t look at historicals so much as recent history on NC guys.

Ahhh totally forgot about our STUD QB commit in Brandon. No, we don’t want them actually hiring someone noteworthy that could possibly intrigue him.Keeping UNC incompetent is key to our success. I wouldn’t look at historicals so much as recent history on NC guys.
