'26 NC QB Faizon Brandon (Tennessee commit)

I’ll cite it for him.

“I mentioned trying to find a landing spot for George MacIntyre," 247 Sports' national recruiting analyst Cooper Petagna said. "He ends up sliding back from number ten to number thirty, and this is a guy that we really, really liked on the field despite his team only winning two games last season. So, coming into the offseason you have that context. We got to see him twice in the month of April. Oxford and in Nashville. Really, physically, there was a lot to be desired. He will have another opportunity here in the next couple of weeks at the Elite 11 finals in Los Angeles, so going to be a guy and certainly a storyline to follow here."
Has CJH’s ranking gone down? If not, I am good.

I was just providing a quote for the poster.

He’s ranking is the same as it was.
I am GUESSING that our staff is more interested in a 2nd or 3rd season ceiling than they are on the arrival floor. So they trust what they see after development in the weight room, enhanced by nutritional improvements, and reps with a field full of P5 caliber athletes on BOTH sides of the ball. Very possible they see a lower arrival floor but a higher ceiling when it is his turn to step up. If the weight and strength projections are not attainable life could be tough. Like our odds.

I say this with all due respect but who gives a ****? Not only did Nick Saban want him but most importantly Josh Heupel coveted GMac. It would literally be impossible for me to care less if internet analysts change their thinking on him.

Where in that quote does it say he didn’t show well in camps?

Again, was just providing it for the poster. He asked for it. That’s all.

I feel like half the ppl on this board have a reading level of a third grader while also having the ability to read into quotes with their own narrative…ridiculous

Again, I was providing the quote he was probably talking about. That’s it.
Probably because i was responding to D4H specifically saying “he didn’t show well in the other camps according to some random recruiting analyst” paraphrasing there and then you provide said quote that didn’t say that at all…thanks for providing the quote but D4H has some explaning to do not you, if that is indeed what he is referring to…

If you could read and comprehend on a 3rd grade level then why couldn’t you understand this part of the quote?

If you do a little more research on the Oxford and Nashville camps you would find this quote.

“Tennessee quarterback commit George MacIntyre was the highest-ranked signal caller on hand. MacIntyre had an up and down day. He was able to deliver some nice passes downfield and while rolling to his left, but also had some difficulties consistently spinning the football and delivering with velocity in the windy conditions.”

It’s not like D4H is starting some ****, he’s just posting like we all do.

Hand-wringing about the ranking of QB recruits and how attending certain camps will affect said rankings. 🤣 Guess it's our own fault. The market simply gives consumers what they demand. We demand these stupid rankings because we are sheep as consumers of this product: information and misplaced ego. Who the HE!! should place any real importance on the ranking list of high school QB's....nobody. Look at them and be like 'oh cool' and leave it at that.

This might be difficult logic to follow but let's try it anyway: where a QB is on that list it's not going to impact their career as a college QB. A QB that drops in the ranking because he didn't attend a camp didn't become a worse QB due to skipping the camp. Him missing the camp will not make him a worse college QB.

George probably has the least developed physique of the top QBs in this class. He has a nearly 6'6" lanky frame and looks more like a basketball player at this point. Much like Tyler Bray looked in high school. The difference is that he has +athleticism and a football pedigree. This possibly gives him the most potential upside of any of the top prospects in this class. Once he's on campus with the nutrition, S&C, and focusing solely on football...he should flourish. I don't get paid or get clicks for these evaluations, so people can take it or leave it. His numbers from his junior season had mostly to do with his terrible O- line and crappy new head coach that got fired after one season. Neither of these things should be a factor at UT.

Oh crap! I just heard Tom Loy say he is about to change his xtal ball for Brandon from TN to Alabama, Apparently, he thinks Brandon's recent visit to bama was a game changer with Bama's 2025 recruited QB really trying to sway Faizon. I hope not!!!!!
