Agree that he’s not a threat, BUT…Bill coached Tom.
He either developed him some but mostly it was Tom or he’s some QB genius.
But if he is why couldn’t he develop anyone else? He churned thru QB’s and did nothing.
He’s old, grumpy and burned so many bridges his gig he gets is UNC!
He isn’t a threat IMO
Good point!Agree that he’s not a threat, BUT…
Look what Matt Cassell did the year Brady was hurt. He parlayed really good season into a big contract with KC, then didn’t do anything.
Jimmy Garapolo did the same thing…productive filling in a year for Brady, got paid, then couldn’t replicate it elsewhere.
I do think there was something to that Patriots system.
The media also glosses over the fact he’s never coached college before. Or dealt with recruiting. Or boosters. Or 18-22 year old kids.Bill coached Tom.

It’s highly unlikely we hold onto all three of Merk, Mac, and Faizon. Whether we can hold onto two of three is the question. If the Faizon commitment sticks and I ,believe it will , do we see some QBs hit the portal ? I believe we will, as much as there is to learn in coach Heupel s system I think this kid could start as a freshman.
I have to say that the VRBO commercial he is in is pretty funny.its no different than Saban. He was an ass**** with the media for pretty much his entire time at Bama. Yet, his former players and staff said he was very different behind the scenes. We can now see that with his time on Gameday. He seems like a completely different person.
North Carolina is such an underrated state for talent.I don’t see Faizon flipping. He’s pretty locked in

Grimsley will finish the season ranked in the top 25 Nationally. Deservedly so. But there’s a team in Fayetteville (Fayettniem nicknamed) NC that maybe just as good as Grimsley. Seventy First HS is 15-0 and about to play West Charlotte for the 3A Title next week. But 71st has THREE 1,000 yard rushers. 1) a 6’2 260 lb HB. 2) a 6’2 220 lb QB 3) a 5’11 210 RB that’s being recruited by Ole Miss for 2026.
I lived in North Carolina for 4 years. And if North Carolina had the coaching, and community support that some of these programs out here in California have, you would have 10 programs all from North Carolina ranked in the Top 50 imo.
So much talent out there. Glad we’re locked into that state. Screw belichick
And tell him to bring all the Carolina 5 stars and hidden gems as he can bring!Stationed 5 years in Havelock, Daughter still lives in Wilmington, Vist often.
We beat OSU a few years ago being led by a nfl first round Qb named Peyton
Will do it this year with a first founder named Nico
Faizon will bring us a title
Hope you relocate, like ti meet you before the good earth claims meAnd tell him to bring all the Carolina 5 stars and hidden gems as he can bring!
Been to Wilmington many times . God that was a lifetime ago…
One of my favorite beaches on the east coast is there in Wilmington. Been thinking about relocating to o North Carolina honestly.
Too many damn people out here in California haha.
