Context.. that's more a dig on Gundy than Yuricich. If it's hit the press, probably a done deal. I just grin at the names that have appeared in the last month that Bob Kessling will have to pronounce.

The fact that CPF was at the Orange Bowl tells me it will be either OKst or OK losing an OC. Evidently Yurcich is a candidate for De Ohio Stank job too.

To your point CMY has developed QBs and more importantly has done that with different style QBs and offenses. Not a huge body of work coming from a D2 school straight to OCS but his 5 years there have been impressive. I believe he would adapt from Big 12 to SEC.

Damn!!! I did not say in any way we should not hire the guy. ALL I WAS DOING WAS POINTING OUT WERE HIS ELEVATED NUMBERS HAVE BEEN ACCUMULATED AND HOW THE MAY RELATE TO BEING CONTINUED IN THE SEC. Personally I think he would/will be a good hire. I just want to temper my expectations and anyone who is not looking for "the answer" because of what has come before every time we look at a persons past successes. To me the real question is can this guy "change his spots" just enough to be really good in this much different environment.

So who was ANNOUNCED on the broadcast? And who’s now listed as the WINNER? It’s a matter of TENSE. He WON it...having it stripped doesn’t change that. It’ll catch up, Scooter...stand still.

Then Tennessee has to get the athletes. If you missed the Bama/OU game, trick offense doesn't cut it against those guys. Tennessee can be everything Ga is and then some with the right coaching staff. Tennessee hired two guys, back to back, who should never been above high school level.

So I am guessing here, if it were 95% done like Matthews said then that would mean it was 95% done on Tennessee's end the other 5% that was not there was the guy being offered the job? When I think 95% done I think both parties are in on it from the start.

He "won" the trophy.........you're using semantics.
Yuricich would be ok with me, but what makes you think he would adapt as you say besides your hunch or gut? He had Mason Rudolph for 3 of his yrs. Pretty easy to get good results.

My guess is we get him cause Pruitt and Fulmer has done a great job keeping their cards close to their chest. This doesn't officially leak unless he's about to or has already taken the job. We shall see

Suprised that he'd leave Gundy for anything less than a HC position.
