'19 NC RB Quavaris Crouch (Tennessee signee)

After a gazillion false rumors in the past month, I wouldn't be shocked if this one turns out to be false, as well, so don't shoot the messenger. But ... Rocky Top Insider is reporting that Yurcich has been offered the OC Position.

Source

[Note: Even if true, keep in mind that he hasn't accepted yet and may be getting courted by other teams, as well]
You don't offer unless they are highly interested, doesn't mean he'll accept, but he is interested.

He "won" the trophy.........you're using semantics.
Yuricich would be ok with me, but what makes you think he would adapt as you say besides your hunch or gut? He had Mason Rudolph for 3 of his yrs. Pretty easy to get good results.
Yes I did but if he "won" a trophy it should be in the official records of the Heisman trust correct? You and @butchna are just using internet rumors to say he "won" something.
Hunch is a good definition. When you jump from no where jobs to shippensburg d2 to big 12 football that's a pretty big cliff. From what I have read he adapted rather quickly and has been successful forming / changing his offenses to his personnel. We probably need that more than anything Imo.

The only thing bad about this is as long as the offense is clicking then good but with not much depth on the defense you will wear down in the third quarter and get your azz kicked in the fourth quarter this is not the big 12 where you just try to out score the other team 52-49, Oklahoma would have been a 8 and 4 team to a 9 and 3 team in the SEC.

I think you might be right. This is more of a passing offense with rpo action for JG then.

Almost all teams are pretty even with run / pass and that’s all Pruitt wants is an offense that keeps that ratio even. Pruitts main point is he wants a team who can run the ball when they run the ball because that’s what you have to have in the SEC.

Wrong on Oklahoma. They gave Bama more last night than anyone in the SEC did all year.

*Tennessee has officially extended an offer*

Would anyone here care to hazard a guess as to what this actually is supposed to mean. What is an official one? On paper?

And how are we supposed to know such officialness is actually true? Trust another blog rumor it appears.

Excuse me if I don't trust these stories and only believe it when he's running thru the T next year.
Usually an official offer is by carrier pigeon.

Great hire if true and it works out. 10th ranked offense in country at LSU. Would love to see what he could do with elite talent...assuming we get some of course.

I can see more of a 50/50 rpo than anything. Maybe Pruitt wants JG to roll out a little more to pass it, and stay out of trouble.

I honestly don’t think Pruitt is building this offense for JG. I think this is an offense for the future. Shrout and Maurer are known to have accuracy on the run. JG is not known for that but he can do it.

Being able to roll out will help both the OL and JG though. So it will be interesting how things go with whoever we get.

We might just see more roll outs this year. We may need more of that. Maurer and Shrout can throw more on the run, and they do have the arm to do that. What’s interesting though is, could we see a repeat of the 94 to 98 offense? There were more roll outs with Manning and Tee during that time.
