'19 NC RB Quavaris Crouch (Tennessee signee)

We might just see more roll outs this year. We may need more of that. Maurer and Shrout can throw more on the run, and they do have the arm to do that. What’s interesting though is, could we see a repeat of the 94 to 98 offense? There were more roll outs with Manning and Tee during that time.

I think with the OL we have signed it opens that up. Last year if we would have rolled a lot I think you would have seen the same results as far as JG getting sacked goes. Smith is not built to play LT against a speed rusher. If he is healthy Smith moves back inside and we get a more agile LT who can just stay in front of the rusher. Which opens up the ability to roll out. (With Wanya coming in and possbily Wright plus the experience gained by our line this year, rolling out without worrying about your QB getting smashed becomes a reality.)

Rolling out more with JG May be a great thing this year, because it will keep him from getting sacked a lot, and he might be able to see the field more. Get him away from the defense for a few more seconds, and that gives him a chance to plant and throw without rushing the pass.

This is true. Guess we will find out.

After a gazillion false rumors in the past month, I wouldn't be shocked if this one turns out to be false, as well, so don't shoot the messenger. But ... Rocky Top Insider is reporting that Yurcich has been offered the OC Position.

I doubt that; and do understand it is just a rumor. I am pretty sure he has his man. And this is just an opinion lol.

????
I hope what you are asking what do my comments mean as it relates to us hiring him.

All I am saying is these great numbers are coming from a defenseless (for the most past) league. Unless we can come up with an unbelievable "lock down" defense, it will be hard to put up numbers like this guys has been able to post.
You did an "either" sentence without the "or" clause. Kind of like a cheeseburger without cheese.

Yes I did but if he "won" a trophy it should be in the official records of the Heisman trust correct? You and @butchna are just using internet rumors to say he "won" something.
Hunch is a good definition. When you jump from no where jobs to shippensburg d2 to big 12 football that's a pretty big cliff. From what I have read he adapted rather quickly and has been successful forming / changing his offenses to his personnel. We probably need that more than anything Imo.
You need to google SEMANTICS. Reggie Bush WON the Heisman. If he didn’t, how was it stripped from him? Good with either Yurcich or Sark. Name I hate being bandied about on this board is Major Applewhite. That stretches the boundaries of my wait and see before judging too thin.

Looking at Sark's coaching history, I guess his claim to fame would be that he coached under Norv Turner. His record is very underwhelming. Looks to be a Schiano level hire IMO. He could come in and kill it, but his record hasn't shown it.

Gundy to Yuricich: "Need a raise? Go troll Tennessee. Worked for me"

Context.. that's more a dig on Gundy than Yuricich. If it's hit the press, probably a done deal. I just grin at the names that have appeared in the last month that Bob Kessling will have to pronounce.
I guess that means you don't know how to pronounce Yurchich's name? I know I don't. And I know my phone's speech to text doesn't.

The only thing bad about this is as long as the offense is clicking then good but with not much depth on the defense you will wear down in the third quarter and get your azz kicked in the fourth quarter this is not the big 12 where you just try to out score the other team 52-49, Oklahoma would have been a 8 and 4 team to a 9 and 3 team in the SEC.

I just dont see Pruitt hiring anyone with a different offensive scheme than his. And I dont see a good oc willing to change their scheme.

well played.....can't be stripped of something you never had!

Not necessarily

I am just meaning verbal agreements this day and time mean nothing. Until contract signed by all parties could be far from over. He could be offered a raise and stay where he is at. I think he would be a good hire.

Ok State fans don’t like Yurcich and are hoping we take him. His background says he coached CFL.

Only a small group. OK St writers are puzzled by that vocal group and now the other fans are sort of laughing at that group as ohio st and ut are coming after him. Guess Ohio St and Pruitt know less about football than some twitter warriors.

It’s true, the leagues aren’t the same, but we have to run something different than UGA and Alabama. We don’t have the athletes, and won’t have the athletes to beat them at their own game.

You are absolutely correct. The only reason they are successful is they have much more talent than the others. Bama for example went up 28 to 0 last night and then went to running game primarily. 10 passing attempts the 2nd half and notice what happened to the score. We have to have a different offensive scheme than ga. And bama. Bama passes till they get a lead and then ball control.
