Pro style means different things to different folks. And that a huge reason for the misunderstanding. A lack of a standardized vocabulary and too many "buzzwords" makes it hard to convey intent.

And BAMA runs the O that fits their needs. They have run everything from the west coast dink and dunk to the pistol under Saban. When Hurts is in they run RPO when tugboat is in they run a variant of the spread. It's about playing to their strengths not a set system

I saw it with my own eyes. It's not really that hard to figure out. If you've seen any college football, the spread offense dominates. It's even bleeding over to the NFL. It will most likely become the new pro style.

I know nothing and I wouldn't put $5 on this being even half right, but I'm guessing Pruitt wanted to find the best fit and wanted to wait until after pretty much everyone that would be available, were.

Beginning to belive this is true. The lid on this has been ridiculously tight (actually impressed) and nobody including media knows dick. 'Reports' are people spit balling in hopes of being right..
