‘23 NC WR Nathan Leacock (Tennessee)

Seriously? I honestly don’t know anything about track numbers. When people talk about them I am always confused. So 10.5 is very fast? I think Seldon ran a 10.7 maybe??

It really all depends on how that speed translates to the field. But for reference.
Robert Meacham ran 10.8
Eric Crouch ran 10.98

Newcomers
Squirrel White 10.6
Dylan Sampson 10.4

Why do you keep showing this dude?

You know he's a criminal right?

Track numbers are just track numbers. Doesn’t matter how tall you are you just wanna be the fastest. (Obviously).Usually the fastest guy on the field isn’t gonna be 6’4 200 plus like Leacock. I think that NC state guy posted the wrong numbers because the fastest number I could find for him was 10.88 which is really fast for a guy that big. I’m not saying he didn’t run something close to a 10.5, but if he was that fast that would make him a 5 star talent in my eyes. Seldom probably won’t get caught from behind more than Once in college and he’s a 10.7 guy for right now

The best men's 100 in the NCAA this year was right around 10 flat. The best sprinters in the world who train specifically to run 100 meters have broken the 10 second mark.

But for a relatively untrained HS player whose primary sport is football... both of these guys are blazers.

Anyway...

Like I said before about this kid.
He was more athletic than his 4 star teammate last year.

Should have a big year. More explosive than Tate, but not as polished yet.

Class is coming together nicely.

Not sure what our WR board looks like, but any chance we make a huge push for Mizell first?

Or do we have room for both?

Is that 10.5 verified
Hardly anything on these crootin sites are verified. A few track guys are or guys that go to the specific site's camps, but not most.

Not a knock on Holiday or Wright, but they were seen as having gamebreaker speed too. Not that they couldn't end up being, but when the pads go on, it's not quite there at an elite level...yet.

Sidenote...how are 40 & 100 times with pads and cleats on turf not a standard by now? It seems pretty wild this isn't the standard metric.
