Don't count your chickens before they hatch.

Not that I don't think he deserves it at this point. He clearly does.

I'm pretty certain it would be impossible for him not to win unless:

1) a deal is cut for someone else
2) griffin gets thrown in jail, it's discovered he hasn't attended a class, or something of the sort

even if BG gets hurt tomorrow, who could possibly catch him now?

Hasheem Thabeet has a shot. He's far and away the best defensive player in the game today, and he's dominating in the best conference in college basketball. It's him or Griffin at this point IMO

Thabeet has way, way too many no shows.

Exactly.

No offense to Thabeet or Meeks or James Harden or Luke Harangody or Stephen Curry -- they're all very impressive players. But Griffin has proven he's been on another level this entire season.

And as for Meeks - if Curry has no shot, then Meeks certainly doesn't either. He plays solid defense, can shoot the lights out and is perhaps the most energetic player in the game right now. But he's pretty one dimensional on offense and doesn't have enough "other" stats (assists? rebounds? assist-TO? steals? anything) to compare to Griffin.

SEC POY? I think so for sure. NC POY? I don't think so.

Makes no sense for him to stay. This draft will be weak and he's likely a first rounder, so guaranteed money.

Did it make a lot of sense for Peyton Manning to stay another year?

Every student's situation is different. I think Curry wants to graduate on time. At least that's what I'm hoping.

Peyton was going at the top of any draft he entered. Curry ain't.

I'll take a wild guess that medical technology in 2009>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>medical technology in 1990.

I'll take a wild guess that Jamal Lewis didn't enter the draft in 2009.

I'll also take a wild guess that this has very little to do with the original topic of whether Curry will go pro.

Peyton Manning is a much more appropriate comparison than Jamal Lewis in this instance. From my recollection, Manning was projected to be the #1 pick after his junior year. Respectively, Stephen Curry is projected to go fairly high (not #1 of course, but still high for him) if he did come out his junior year. Manning postponed millions and took somewhat of a risk that his stock might fall -- because he wanted to compete again and enjoy college one more season - and perhaps b/c money didn't need to be his #1 priority. Curry is in a similar situation, and I'm guessing and hoping that he decides the same, even though it might do more damage to his bank account down the road.
