NCAA hits UT football with additional Probation/Penalties?

If you read that, it says that we received an expedited ruling.

I guess if we had let it drag along the normal timeline, we would have received a ruling in 2017ish.

If Kiffin would've stayed at UT I think UT would've had major bowl and scholarship sanctions in due time. He and Ogre couldn't leave fast enough in hindsight.

If UT gets this crap from some garbage with Mack Garza, Willie Lyles, and Lance Seastrunk then USC better burn in hell for the Joe McKnight improper benefits discovery this past September and Oregon better receive a bowl ban for its dealings with Lyles and Seastrunk.

If not, then the NCAA is the most a$$-backwards organization i've ever seen.

I love this part:

The Committee on Infractions made it clear that it is establishing new precedent with this case and others moving forward.

So, basically the NCAA always has and always will make up rules as they go along and operate with no one questioning their power because they do what they want any time they want. I'm surprised some of the larger schools haven't joined together to give the finger to the NCAA and form their own league.

i guess the ncaa realized it wasnt bad enough that weve sucked balls the past 5 years and are about to get our 4th coach in the same amount of time they should probably pile it on

I keep playing this over in my head but I can't figure it out:

NCAA finds out Oregon's involvement with Seastrunk and Lyles and then places sanctions on UT for Lyles being a Tennessee booster for Seastrunk.

:banghead2: It's like we're a vacuum for NCAA sanctions.

You think the NCAA is telling UT to keep Dooley??
This sounds like the biggest bunch of crap. Wish someone would eventually take the NCAA to court. Would love to see how that would turn out.

Is it any surprise that the NCAA drops this right before a coaching search?

Had it been another school Ncaa probably wouldent have. I am still waiting for them to do somthing about Miami and Northcarolina and Ohio state got a slap on the wrist. USC and Oregon were involved with the Willie lyles thing why haven't they got punished yet.

There were only 2 options:
1. One of the more clever posts I had seen in awhile.
2. I had finally met the stupidest man on the planet and, of course, it had to be a Vol fan!

Thanks for re-instilling my faith in the intelligence of Vol fans everywhere.

I try.

Obviously, this is not a positive, but it's pretty much just a small inconvenience moving forward.

Good job by the KNS for sending out what seems to be a pretty alarming text message for a minor infraction, for the purpose of driving up their web traffic.

Scripps continues their descent into hack journo territory.
