What compassion is there in encouraging or supporting a mental illness? Nobody is saying 'I support narcissist rights', 'I support schizophrenic rights', 'I support psychopath rights'. Transsexualism is a mental disorder that manifests itself in astronomically higher suicide rates and additional mental illness than any other population in society. It's not compassionate or loving to support people on a path of decay and destruction, and transsexuality hasn't done anything positive that I can see. To support it is outright evil.

I think this is the answer. The LGBT community sees sex and gender as two different things. Since biological males absolutely have an unfair advantage competing against females in sports it should be based on sex rather than gender.
