NCAA penalties will be?

He's done it before, why stop now?

So lets get this straight he is going to lie about admitting a lie when the NCAA can crush him if he were lying? Can you show me where the NCAA caught him in the lie before he admitted. Here's a hint You can't.

Because his dad had such an admirable track record and was doing his son a favor. How about you learn what kind of father his dad was for most of his life before you bash Pearl on seeing what Tyler wanted.

I could care less about what his dad had done in earlier years. The point is, he wouldn't let Pearl visit Tyler so Bruce went behind his back and showed up at his schol.

Prove to me that he voluntarily came forward. The only source is from the guy who started the whole ordeal to begin with.

So Pearl trying to go behind a dead beat dads back trying to find out what the actual kid wanted is something sleezy? Tyler loves Bruce yet his daddy was looking out for himself yet Bruce is somehow the bad guy.

So how did he involuntarily come forward. There was no mention in the inquiry or by Hamilton or anyone that it was otherwise so once again you're speculating.

Yes.

In his defense, Bruce was recruiting Tyler, not Billy. Tyler was legally an adult at the time and thus did not need his father's signature on his LOI to make it binding. I'm not saying what he did is right or wrong, but what he did by showing up at the school is well within the parameters of the NCAA guidelines and is a common practice. Sure, he had ulterior motives for visiting the school versus visiting Tyler at home, but then Billy had ulterior motives for not wanting him to visit Tyler in the first place.

Hamilton's under enough fire as it is. He would have been fired on spot if he came out and said he knew of this all along.

It's perfectly legal. It's about as ethical as the phone call with Thomas, though.

So now you're speculating again. There is no indication that Bruce would've been caught lying yet you're trying to say there is. Until you know for a fact that's true then just stop saying it.

So trying to find out where a kid wants to spend his college career at is unethical. Like I said you know **** about Tyler's dad... there was a white family that I'm close with that basically helped raise him.

Sorry Verc I was wrong. I forgot I wrote that.

That was about the whole Layla Kiffin deal.

All women are not virgins or whores...but lots tend to be on side or the other :)

Anyway not sure what that has to do with not being ready to fire Pearl over a small NCAA problem.

It was only unethical if you feel he needed Billy's permission to speak to his adult son. The US Army recruited me from the day I turned 18 and signed Social Service papers. My father never wanted me to join the military. You think that stopped the US Government?

The only proof you have is from a guy who has just been fined 1.5 million dollars because of lying. That's credible.

That's totally different.

My proof is coming from a guy that has everything toblose and nothing to gain by saying that. What exactly is your proof again?

It has nothing to do with Pearl. I brought it up as an example of your aggressive moralizing. You wrote most of a thousand words on why what happened to Erin Andrews was awful because she was "innocent," somehow, and above sexuality....and then within a few months, she was posing in Maxim magazine. Too bad that you never answered my question about whether that meant that now she deserved it.

I'm just saying that I don't understand how somebody who's so frequently on the soapbox about morality would pull out the "everybody does it" excuse to mitigate what Pearl's been up to. My five year old boy has never been in a church in his life and he'd never dream of pulling that one out.

The same guy who had to pull a few strings to get Ramar "eligible", the guy who left his wife, and a guy who secretly taped a teenager on the phone. You win.

The recruiting tactics are the same, I can assure you.

Recruiter X shows up at my school. He shmoozes me with all the benefits of joining his institution without my parents knowledge or consent. He tells me how good I am and how I will fit in, what my opportunities are, etc. He tells me why his institution is a better fit than Institution X, Y, and Z. Hell, he even offers me money if I sign on the dotted line.

Now you tell me. Is this a college basketball coach or a recruiter for the Armed Forces?

Want to back up the ramar statement with someone other than hatvol?

Wait he can't tape a teenager to catch someone cheating? Yet you can get mad at Pearl over this?

Did you live in the Pearl house? You don't know any of that situation either.

So frequently on the soapbox about morality is 1 thread from last year?

Erin Andrews does not deserve being taped without her permission ever. Erin Andrews deserves being ogled and considered a sex object if she poses in mens magazines and seeks to be viewed as a sex object.

"Everyone else does it" has to do with the fact that the NCAA is not going to come down too hard on Bruce because he came forward about the misinformation without being caught and the underlying "violation" was a minor one.

The penalty that no one is talking about is that TN will be one of the only teams in the country actually following the retarded rule of the NCAA regarding contacts by phone.
