This confirms that you have cut class and are currently being a rebel in the middle school library.

No, Im a scientist. I do animal research for pharmaceuticals. You know, real scientific research; not the Kentucky kind where a group of rednecks **** different types of livestock to see which one they like the best.

Cornholing local pets isn't scientific research.

The only scientific research that goes on in Memphis is who makes the best crack.

If Pearl wants to have any success here then he better stop trashing the city and the society here. His tactics might work elsewhere but you cant tell inner city kids you want to take them out of the 'hood to help them out. These kids dont want to hear that.

He also used the murder of Lorenzen Wright as a recruiting tool. Thats not cool on any levels.

Have you looked at your city lately(do you even live there)? This place's crime rate rivals NY city and D.C. and you expect telling the truth would be seen as a "dirty tactic"?Last time I checked there have not been any of UT's players killed. If the kids don't want "out of the hood" to actually get away from things like that then they are more than welcome to take their chances getting to practice/games... :worship:

Im sure your white sheet wearing parents are so impressed with you. Im guessing your conception involved a six-pack, a busted condom, and a convenience store bathroom.

One school has more crime in their city, the other has more crime within their sports programs. It all evens out.

I love how some of you bash a city that houses several thousand UT alums and fans. Its also the home to your medical school and other health science graduate studies.

Well what do they want to here? I'm African American I didn't grow up in the inner city so tell me what they want to here? I've heard stories about the old TSU coach John Merritt
Tell recruits he want to get the farm off of their back. If you don't try to help get these kids out of that crap they live in they will never be saved. It is a never ending cycle!! It's like crabs in a barrel if one tries to get out another pulls him back down. If any coach uses the "get the hood off their back"
Tactic use it!! I hope those kids see it's nothing there for them. And homefry not everyone on here is a racist redneck!! Pull your head out of your ass brotha!!

And everyone from Memphis is not no gangbanger or drug dealer. So as long as all of us are on the same page, there's no reason for anybody on here to say or think that one city is better than the other because we all have our problems.

I'd wager that most of the replies that you are referring to are from those whose greatest ties to the university involve the piss troughs in Neyland.

In my comments I wasn't saying one city is better than the other hell where I grew up the population is just a little over 1,000!! But M-town is a rough city, no it's not all bad but it could be better. All I'm saying is if those kids get the chance to get out of Memphis to better their life ( I'm not saying they are all dealers & bangers) go for it!!

You people have been entertaining to say the least. This thread has been posted on several message boards around the country and it confirms what most people already knew. The lack of intelligence, respect, and overall rudeness of the fans here give the University of Tennessee a reputation for having a bunch of hillbilly fans. No wonder Kiffin wanted out.

And just to be clear, none of the fine upstanding citizens here in Memphis burned furniture and cars when our coach (Calipari) left like a bunch of redneck terrorists.
