Netflix password sharing

You don’t know what insult means.

You don’t understand what theft is.

You probably don’t understand what denial is either.
Sharing in you household.
I understand what theft is. You've failed to, in any way, define how what's going on with Netflix is "theft", especially since the dang product is still paid for. You say sharing passwords is theft, yet you haven't described what was stolen and where the depravation of use/victimhood is, which are key elements of theft; you choose to ignore that Netflix itself encouraged this behavior directly, like leaving your old valueless couch out on the side of the road; you haven't actually defined how Netflix is a victim beyond the laughable assertion that they're missing out on all those people sharing password who would inevitably all become subscribers. Oh, and the best one, you said people are paying "far more than their fair share", when you haven't even defined "fair" other than some nebulous concept you are trying to deploy in some sort of emotional appeal to people who really don't care.

Netflix is the girl that hooked up with AJ Johnson, regretted it, and accused him of assault, and you're the whacko writer from The Tennessean that spearheaded the witch hunt.

They’d lose far less if everybody using their service would pay for it instead of stealing it.
Here you are again with the assumption that all of those (and I quote: "everybody") sharing passwords would become subscribers in the event of a crackdown.

I thought you said you never would make this assertion? Can't keep your story straight?

No. You obviously don’t.

All?

Netflix price increases are necessary to cover their loss of customers since they became a WOKE corporation. I canceled my subscription because I don't want my children indoctrinated with their propaganda. What happened to being a platform for streaming old movies?

This angle is overplayed.

Netflix's problem is their value proposition. As content creators pulled their content from their platform, the value of their product diminished. However, the price has moved inversely to their declining product value. They have poured insane amounts of money into content creation with only a few hits to show for it. It simply isn't enough to be competitive at their current asking price.

Additionally, they have problem similar to Facebook. "Netflix and Chill" doesn't have the cultural cachet it once had. Short-form video will be king. Wall Street is always slow to the party because they rely on company statistics which are selectively chosen to cover problems until they can no longer legally conceal the abscess any longer. Keeping your pulse on the intended target demographic will keep you ahead of Wall Street.

Doubtful.
I would think there would even be value in being the service that's the EASIEST to share and just stick short commercials before and after everything to make up for the lost revenue.

Exactly right. They don't have a lot of room to play as far as pricing goes because they're already the most expensive streaming service out there and the market is very crowded with tons of content.

I’ve said multiple times that I’ve not had a loss. I don’t own shares. I have worked in the business though and understand that theft doesn’t have to be a tangible item. China steals IP. They don’t stick it on a boat to take it home.

I don’t like thieves.

My comment was about someone else

If they throw ads in with the current service they will just lose more customers.

In the grand scheme no one gives a F about the price Netflix is charging.

Gas is thru the roof. Which means so is your food, clothes, and every other good and service you consume.

so unless Netflix can fix that, they will continue to lose customers.

Many saw it coming before they did. They knew they’d have to create their own content which was going to be a challenge when considering the competition.

My daughter uses my NF account and I use her Prime. They've both jacked the rates up. It's not a sin to share. And, it sure aint a crime.

My parents and brother share Costco.
I share Costco with my sister. Also give her access to my cable during football season.
I share prime with my parents.
It's a family affair. 🤷‍♀️

I read that was released shortly after Apple added the pregnant man emoji. Going to sell your phone?

I might get something else next time. Regardless I can realize just how utterly stupid, moronic, idiotic, sick, and disgusting it is. Guess it’s all about the “science”.
