i just don't like social injustice (real or not, not trying to start another debate). it has very little to do with who i married.I really couldn't care less - but you have an emotional involvement in all this and it's painfully obvious as you've racked up 90% of your posts (guesstimation of course) in the politics forums defending Mexicans, illegals, and the Mexican culture.
If I have some kind of strong connection like that - I refrain from posting on topics dealing with it or I'd be posting 24/7 on the topic till my eyes bleed.
Unless the path involves going back and doing it the right way, I find it hard to agree. Some of the Christian Right leadership seems to want to take a different angle on immigration reform than Arizona's law:

Interesting to see how this develops.
If you had to pick between the 2, closing the border makes the most long lasting impact.
I still think you make the point to sift through the remaining illegals and send them home.
Maybe after they got square with the IRS.
I have worked around legal and illegal hispanics for the better part of 15 years. Why not give them a path to citizenship, if the border is now secure? I think you do not realize what the typical illegal is doing in this country. Most are filling a need.
I would have no problem ejecting any illegal still here that has a felony or drug charge, though. The rest should be given a path to citizenship or legal residency.
