New England Patriots Have Incredible Day

Not even in the conversation, those 3 teams won it on defense not because of Brady. If Peyton had those caliber of defenses he would have 4 plus rings.

Proof? Link? All you are doing is speculating to serve your hatred of the Pats agenda here. Brady has had a better QB rating than Manning as well, and he has done it with(outside of one year) without the talent at WR that Peyton has enjoyed for a huge chunk of his career.

I do. Best QB in the league and probably best ever. I know you are wrong, I have explained this many times to your kind on this board.

Brady: 111.0 passer rating, 36 TDs, 4 INTs
Manning: 91.9 passer rating, 33 TDs, 17 INTs

You tell me...Brady's former backup had a better season than Manning did. Between those two, it's really not that close.

Wayne's elite. But Harrison was elite BECAUSE of Manning.

I always view this argument the same way: Flip the scripts, Manning is just as good, Brady isn't. And regardless, they're both all sorts of crazy good. And that's allowed. I enjoy watching both of them play football, despite not liking the Pats, and that's allowed too.

I love how the Pats suck at drafting and have to go get their players through free agency. With the exception of Brady just about all of their big time impact players have been obtained through free agency

Mayo, Light, Wilfork, Meriweather, Mankins, Gronkowski, and Hernandez.

I can agree with this.

Ive already named them, but he still is under the impression that the Pats suck at the draft. IMO they have mastered the draft over the last decade and been the most successful at using their picks wisely.

Thank you.

The obvious answer is "but the scripts aren't flipped, and Brady's real good." and I get that.

But if you put Manning with Belichick for this stretch, it's just as much (more?) utterly ridiculous. While Brady does not do what Manning has in Indy.

That's just my opinion. I am also the one who thinks too much emphasis is ALWAYS put on championships. So... :whistling:

The Pats draft sickeningly well. McCourty, too, if he wasn't already listed.

Total career yardage might have been the single most meaningless statistic you could have chosen...

Brett Favre 71,838 and 508 TDs. Don't let him retire, he's better than both. That broken old man will lead the league in passing if we give him one more year.

Brady has 3 Super Bowls because of the team he is on. Brady is a much better QB now than he was when he was winning SB's. That should tell you right there winning SB's is not about having the best QB, it's about the collective team. Seriously these are the best years of Brady's career and he's been like 6-5 in the playoffs, 1 SB appearance, no SB's. Manning over the same stretch is like 6-5, 2 SB appearances, 1 SB.

If Brady were the clutch guy we claim he is, he would have 4 SB's cause that was an all-time choke job. That was his best season, and that was the best team he played on.

Not specifically directing this at you, but the only people who state this are those who dont win championships. It is the reason they play the game

It is. I'm not suggesting that rings make Brady better. I'm suggesting that having a better season (by a wide margin) makes Brady better.

Of course because it doesn't fit your agenda. I don't know why this season should even be played the greatest team in history should just be handed the trophy

Point taken. And I know it is basically every player's ultimate goal, but my argument is that reaching that goal or winning super bowls doesn't just automatically decide that one guy is better or worse.

Marino winning a super bowl wouldn't make him a BETTER quarterback the next year. Legacy, sure, but player? Still a stud.

Oh, it fits my agenda. A 45-year-old Brett Favre is clearly the best QB in the NFL because of what he did 10 years ago.

So you aren't impressed with having the 3rd most yards all time (at the age of 35)? How about thess stats: most yards per game ever. 4th highest completion % ever.

career stats do tell the whole story, like someone said yesterday the stats don't lie.

You are taking stats for a guy who has played in 60 more games than the other. Total yardage and total touchdown comparison between the two is nonsense.

Nope, none of that matters at all, Peyton is a scrub, would have been better off drafting Ryan Leaf

Not when you're debating the best right now...unless you think career passing yards make Jon Kitna better than Aaron Rodgers and Philip Rivers.
