New England Patriots Have Incredible Day

You are taking stats for a guy who has played in 60 more games than the other. Total yardage and total touchdown comparison between the two is nonsense.

So if it's 60 more games, Brady would have to average 335 yards and 2.3 touchdowns per game to catch up.

I still think Peyton is better right now, The Colts Oline was terrible last year and receivers went down like crazy. No Gonzo, Clark or Collie

Gonzo is always down, Clark was replaced well and Reggie Wayne is still better than Deion Branch...none of these seem like reasons for a "better" QB to throw 17 picks while the other throws 4, or reasons for said QB to throw less touchdowns with 200 more passes.

It is. I'm not suggesting that rings make Brady better. I'm suggesting that having a better season (by a wide margin) makes Brady better.

Brady had a running game, a better line, and 7 solid pass catchers. Manning had no running game (nobody even went for 500 yards), a banged up line and receiving corp. Garcon missed 2 games. Collie missed 7, Dallas Clark missed 10, Addai missed 8, and Gonzo missed 14 games. Colts had a D that ranked 23rd in points allowed and 20th in yards allowed (Pats 8th and 25th respectively).

Pats rushed for 1973 yards, 19 TD's, and 4.3 ypc.
Colts rushed for 1483 yards, 13 TD's, and 3.8 ypc.

Brady had a much cushier job. You should be lauding Manning for carrying this team to a division crown.

Clark was replaced well because Peyton Manning is playing quarterback.

I think Brady is the better QB, not really anything you could say at this point to change my opinion. You think Peyton is the better QB, thats fine as well. The two are so close in the grand scheme of things, but I just give the nod to Brady due to his championships.

Yeah, what a tough division. Philip Rivers had to carry his team the same way and had a substantially better season.

If you took Manning away at really any point during the last ten years, the Colts would have sucked oh so hard.

The Pats lost Brady and won.. 11 games?

So if receivers aren't a problem, where do the 17 picks come from?

I didn't say receivers aren't a problem. I'm saying that the reason a guy like Tamme filled in well when Clark went down is because of Manning. That seamless transition doesn't happen with many QBs.

Whats your point? How does that mean Peyton is a better QB?

Simply my opinion that part of the reason Brady is so consistently good is Belichick and the patriots, and part of it is Brady's brilliance.

Philip Rivers lost his top 3 receivers and was playing with Seyi Ajirotutu, but had a better season than Peyton and also destroyed him head-to-head. So there's one.

Imagine if I had said "doesn't happen with many QBs."

Wait, I did. I didn't say "only ever could happen with Peyton Manning."

Rivers is elite, as well.

If that's your point, everyone involved in this discussion is better than "many QBs." So that doesn't really say much.

So you take Trent Dilfer over Dan Marino

No, but those two arent near close as far as talent and ability. Brady and Peyton are

Brady is very good, but I don't believe they won 3 SB because of him, their defenses were great. The best year he had stats wise and when he did his best they did not win it and his last 2 seasons have been really good but they were one and done both times.
