Here’s how much each NY state resident will have to fork over in Taxes to cover Migrant Crisis Bill

Each of New York’s 10.7 million taxpayers would have to fork over $215 on average to foot the bill for the state’s ongoing migrant crisis, according to a new analysis.

Put another way, it would take the entire tax bill paid by 328,471 New Yorkers together to cover the $2.3 billion tab to house and care for the staggering number of asylum seekers in the state.

Outside of Manhattan Criminal Court on Monday, Imani Henry of Equality for Flatbush, a Black Lives Matter organization in Brooklyn, said she felt Neely’s life had been unfairly minimized and that the city needed to do more to aid those facing such issues as mental health and poverty.

“Jordan Neely was loved in his communities,” Henry said. “He was a brother, he was a community member. He was a performer — to continue to keep just focusing on his mental health condition is just unfair and wrong, because we are not simply one component of our lives. We are full and complex people.”

Just spent the weekend there. Daughter and son in law just moved into a 2 bedroom apt on Hudson St. in the lower west side. Building from the 1850's.
Had a great time. Walked the Brooklyn Bridge, ate in Little Italy, took in a little of the NYC Marathon, rode the subway a bunch, walked the Hudson River to Little Island and than a few beers at Pier 37......etc.....

Safe and happy....is what I saw.

Good job surviving one weekend. The places you visited are fairly safe, in general. Next time venture out in different places and times and get back to us.

Uh this looks like an excellent opportunity to round people up to deport them right there… betting odds there are a lot of people in that crowd who are not here legally.. not the smartest bunch
I think they are smart enough to understand that police aren’t just going to round up everyone at a protest and hold them until they prove they shouldn’t be deported
