Women are seen shooting up in broad daylight in Manhattan's Union Square as Rampant Crime continues to Spiral in New York City

New York City's rampant crime and drug abuse has continued to spiral with drug addicts shooting up in broad daylight and homeless perverts hassling subway commuters, leaving residents and tourists horrified.

In Manhattan's busy Union Square, two women were spotted shooting up drugs on the stairs near the subway station, while a homeless man was seen touching himself while sitting on the steps of the Prince St subway station in trendy Soho at 10am in the morning.

Photos and videos show the scantily-clad pair in Union Square - one with electric blue hair - casually injecting themselves with an unknown substance next to a Citi bike. Despite sitting behind a structure, the vagrant duo could be seen by horrified tourists and passersby as they injected themselves with drugs.

The were shooting up with the syringe for nearly 30 minutes, and no one questioned or attempted to tell law enforcement, according to witnesses.

Who Gains from New York’s Pro-Crime Culture? Kathy Hochul and Drug Cartels

Two-plus years into New York’s war on public order, it’s clear who the victims have been: Blood-spattered city sidewalks from Brooklyn to Buffalo speak for themselves.

But cui bono — who are the beneficiaries?

Gov. Kathy Hochul, for one. And the Mexican drug cartels.

• Hochul because she’s soaring politically as the titular head of a Democratic Party that elevates post-George Floyd ideology over common sense and public safety. She’s Andrew Cuomo’s cynical little sister in this regard — not so bombastic as her predecessor but equally invested in the criminal justice “reforms” that have turned so many urban neighborhoods into combat zones.

• The cartels because they are commercial enterprises making bank off the post-“reform” falloff in law enforcement. Doubt it? Drug busts are way down and overdose deaths are way up; just do the math. The symbiosis is shocking and shameful. And its beneficiaries are not limited to Hochul and the drug lords.

• • The Democratic Party at all levels has embraced the post-Floyd ethic — cops are bad; criminals are victims — because it seems to pay politically. They’ve been stacking bodies like firewood in the Bronx, for example, even as borough native son and Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie prospers.
• And transnational drug dealers — from the Mexican wholesalers to New York’s street-corner retail trade — are cash-flush like never before. The fentanyl pipeline is one supply chain that never even hiccupped during the pandemic.

By most accounts, quarantine-driven demand for illegal drugs was way up — while police tolerance for potentially kinetic confrontation was way down. Following the George Floyd rioting, who would expect otherwise?

Mix of Migrants, Vagrants and Sex Offenders push NYC’s largest men’s shelter to the brink

It’s a ticking time bomb.

The city’s Bellevue Men’s Shelter at 30th Street and First Avenue in Kips Bay has become a tinder box of newly arrived migrants, unhinged vagrants, and sex offenders – an explosive amalgam that’s wreaking havoc on the streets of the once-quiet residential neighborhood.

“In the last six months, it’s gotten really, really scary,” according to one terrified resident of the block who said police recently contacted him about an armed robbery and a carjacking in front of his house. “The situation appears to be reaching a tipping point.”

At the 1,000-bed shelter — the city’s largest for single men — residents told The Post about overcrowding, fights, and tensions with the newly arrived asylum seekers. Texas Gov. Greg Abbott began flooding the Big Apple with busloads of migrants in early August. Six more buses arrived Saturday.

“We don’t want them here because, to be honest with you, to me they’re getting treated better than we do, and this is supposed to be ours,” said Darrell Pankey, a homeless resident for six months.

“It’s gonna blow up any day now,” he added.

There have been 1,196 calls this year to 911 regarding the shelter (through Sunday), up a staggering 607% from the 169 calls received for the same period in 2021.

Residents of NYC’s largest men’s shelter told The Post about overcrowding, fights, and tensions since new arrivals arrived.

An accused jilted madman who flew into an ax-wielding rage at a Lower East Side McDonald’s was released without bail at his arraignment, authorities said Sunday.

Michael Palacios, 31, who allegedly grabbed an ax and trashed the Delancey Street fast-food joint in a fit early Friday, was arraigned on fourth-degree criminal-mischief and possession-of-weapons charges hours later and freed, the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office said.

Migrant mom commits suicide in NYC Shelter: Mayor Adams

A migrant mother who recently arrived in the Big Apple committed suicide in a city facility on Sunday, Mayor Eric Adams disclosed.

No other details were immediately available, including the location or operator of the facility where the suicide took place. At a subsequent, unrelated press conference in Brooklyn, Adams described the tragic woman as a mother.

A spokeswoman for the Coalition for The Homeless — the civil rights group tasked with oversight of the Department of Homeless Services under the city’s decades-old right-to-shelter legal settlement — said it had not yet been notified of the death.

4 Members of ‘Green Goblin’ Subway Attack Crew ID’d By NYPD

Four members of the “Green Goblin” gang who brutally attacked two 19-year-old women on a Manhattan train have been identified by cops and are being sought, authorities said Friday.

Emily Soto, 34, and Mairam Cisse Issouf, Ciante Alston and Dariana Peguero — all 26 — were among the group of suspects who wore full-body neon green leotards while punching and tossing around two 19-year-old women on a Times Square subway train around 2 a.m. Sunday, NYPD Chief of Detectives James Essig told reporters.

Police identified four of the suspects as Emily Soto, 34, and Mairam Cisse Issouf, Ciante Alston and Dariana Peguero, all 26.

All four identified suspects live in NYCHA’s Queensboro Houses, according to Essig.

Peguero has the most extensive criminal history with nine prior arrests, followed by Alston, who has been cuffed three times, Soto, arrested twice, and Issouf, who has been busted once before, the chief said.

She is a joke and she is only coming out with this because she is starting to struggle on the campaign trail as she is losing support in a leftist state like New York.

A 43-year-old man was stabbed on the southbound platform of Harlem's 125th Street A/B/C/D station around 4:25 a.m. Friday, cops said.
