The best info I have found isn't great. Andre Johnson got a 6 million dollar signing bonus at #3 in 2003, and Rex Grossman was picked #22 and got a 2 million dollar signing bonus and a 250,000 dollar contract


Wow. So hypothetically Quinn will make, what, 50-55% less (signing bonus/guaranteed) going where he did and not the Dolphins at 9?
 
Yes, hypothetically. He probably lost more than that because rookie bonuses have escalated a ton in the last 4 years.

And QBs are paid more and get larger bonuses. So if a QB was picked where Johnson was, his bonus would have been more than 6 mil, I would have to think. So I think it may have cost Quinn anywhere between 50-75% of the bonus he would have gotten at #9.
