Not according to UT's official record of SEC Championships. And that fact wasn't meant to put the 70s over the 2000s. I wanted to point out that they were pretty similar.
How should it a have been obvious. A guy on the main board was concerned that we would go 2-8 this season (not realizing that we play at least 12 games). Your level of dumb certainly rivals his.

KPT, you got it wrong.
Send me the link. I've got to see this.
The 7 - 5 Vols, who lost to both Miss schools, won the SEC?
The year Bama went 12 - 0 and actually won a legit title? Is this what you are still trying to say?
You can't blame Roy and utsports. That's the whole point. Anyone who remembers that era would question that data immediately. And therein lies my point.
Show me where I blamed Roy? You are the one proposing crap about he 2001 Vols deserving an SEC Championship. I already posted the link.
I looked into it. The 1969 SEC Championship is not listed. I assume there was a typo. This does not change the point.
I figured it was a 1969 typo.
You blaming Roy was hyperbole when you mentioned him in your thread.
I only mentioned that the 2001 Vols won (a tougher) SEC outright if the same criteria from the 1970's was used. That's all. Again, historical perspective.
It was disappointing.
The Florida game being delayed actually hurt us that year.
Disagree. We were not as good early in the year. Had we played them early, I think they beat us. We flat out just did not have an answer for Matt Mauck. There were some miscues on offense with lost fumbles, but we should have been able to hang on for a victory.
I did like how in that game on our final series we had two false starts, forcing a 4th and 20 attempt.
I think they improved too. It's deeply ironic; I've always wanted that game pushed back. The one time it happened (with all due respect and reverence for why it was pushed back), I can see now that Clash of the Titans left us drained in the second half of the SECCG.

We beat them by one score earlier in the year. Without Kelley, we don't.
