Nico is not ready

This is why you bench Milton half way thru last year.

Nico can be the guy but he needs to catch up to the speed of the college game and he’s just not there. You only get there with experience—which he should have got last year. Frustrating to see the obvious.
I said this all last year. It takes some real game snaps to get into the flow of the game. He should have started about mid season last year. And we would be in great shape this year.

The penalty on e the punter gave them a spark and new life. We had momentum and that killed it.
I would never go for a blocked punt when offense only needs 5 yds or less. With exception of time running out of the game and we are behind needing a score.

What are you guys talking about...he is 4th in the Heisman race!
Will not be there at the end of the season unless the offense gets going in the next 3-4 games. If he had played at level, we would be undefeated today and ranked # 3 in the nation.

No he wouldn't. He'd be eaten alive by defenses. Sorry, Volgod maker, you have no idea whereof you speak (post). He got lucky with Iowa because Joe did a near game time pull out. Iowa having prepped for Joe had to pivot to deal with a QB they had no real info about. Added to the fact they didn't have an offense to speak of, Nico stepped into the perfect stroll down Easy Street.

Nico is not ready, not all his fault, the play calling was also bad, but he missed an easy pass at the end I think to the TE, he also has no urgency about him wasting time at the start of drives, not running looking down field WAY too long... Gaston Moore needs to start, he might not make some of the big plays Nico does but he will make the little ones consistently. I'm not giving up on Nico, but he needs to sit and watch Gaston run the show and learn.

That was not an easy pass, throwing it over the LBs head with a safety closing in. And yet it still hit the TE directly in the hands. That's a catch that has to be made, especially in that situation.

No it didn't. It was an absolute fastball that was way over his head. Gronkowski couldn't have even caught that ball

You are insane. Here is the clip. Starting at 2:17:43. He has to throw the ball with enough loft to get over the LBs head (who nearly is able to knock it down) and hard enough that the closing safety can't make a play on the ball. It is a pass that has to be caught 10/10 times in this situation. It goes right through his hands. Honestly, you can see Kitselman slow down a touch when he releases and looks back for the ball as well.

Caught 10/10 when it's a good throw. He missed him, clear as day. Even fowler points it out. You're expecting a blocking TE to make a jumping reaching catch on a bad throw instead of expecting the qb to hit an open guy. Grow a brain and a pair of eyes

Doesn't even go through his hands. He jumps, reaches, and still can't touch it

The ONLY way to get better is to play. He sat a whole year. 19 years old going into a hostile environment w 90k people screaming at you, can’t hear a thing , the only way to get comfortable w that environment is to do it. Sheesh
