Nico is at best completely unready. At worst he is JG bad.
I see nothing to think he develops into much of an SEC QB. Everyone saying it’s all inexperience may be right. I see no touch on deep balls and a QB who makes poor decisions and turns it over a lot.
Either way . . . We have no option behind him. And that’s unacceptable.
I keep hoping the game will slow down for him. He is a Freshman really…maybe after this next break it will. He needs to play to get the reps though. Heupel can help him out with quick throws.
I agree on the mental thing, seems to be pressing to make something happen like the interception . I think if he stays for 3 more years he may get it figured out his last year.
It's one thing to get pressure blitzing; a lot of teams are doing it with a young quarterback. If you can drop 7 and get in the QBs face with only 4, you have serious problems. Now that we're tied up, let's win this thing.
I am not giving up on him. I think we are witnessing growing pains. It’s the indecisions, he has got to make a couple of reads and get rid of ball or run. That is what Cutcliffe was a master at teaching. Throw the ball away of nothing there.
