Quinn Ewers completed 52% of this pass in year 1 with 14 TD and 6 INTs .. next year made astronomical jump where he could have gone pro … Hooker had lights come on in 4th year ..As much as I hate it Nico just ain't that good YET. It's going to take a while based on what I saw at the game last night. I'm not going to regurgitate everything that's already (I'm sure) been posted on this board.
Here's my issue with it and why I had higher expectations.
1. 8 million dollar top shelf QB recruit
2. A supposed "quarterback whisperer" as a head coach
We aren't talking about a 5th year transfer like Milton. I never had high hopes for that guy. This was supposed to be special with Nico. The perfect storm of a highly converted QB and a coach that was a former QB and is supposed to be a guru with them
Anyway there's no way Nico goes pro early. He needs way more work. He can get there I'm sure but I expected him to not look like Milton 2.0 ever in his career.
That's all I'll say in it. Bring on Bama.
You’re clairvoyant. You must have won the lottery 4-5 times. As much as I hate it Nico just ain't that good YET. It's going to take a while based on what I saw at the game last night. I'm not going to regurgitate everything that's already (I'm sure) been posted on this board.

Nico looked amazing in the first few games until he started getting hit and rattled by SEC defenses. With (hopefully) better line play and more experience, he'll be a really good QB for us.As much as I hate it Nico just ain't that good YET. A glaring example was the last 1:00 of the ARK game. We had a running back wide open in the flat as the "hot option" yet Nico opts for a pass to the TE that required a much more difficult pass which he overthrew. You are not serious if you think all of our pass routes are 15-20 yards down field. That is ludicrous. This is not EA Sports!Enlighten us on what hot routes have been called except the last couple possessions against Florida at all this year ? We run everything 15 to 20 yards down field if it isn't the tunnel to the wide out
Seen it with Guarantano... Didn't fair too well. The only things I know at this point is the following:
1. The offense has no rhythm. That could be due to one of many things or a combination. It could be the quarterback, the OL or just that the 11 are not yet playing as a cohesive unit.
2. Nico is not playing like most expected him. It is obvious why Milton was the starter last year. I know some of you will say, well if we had thrown last year under the bus and started Nico he would be better this year - but coaches who want to win just don't do that.
3. Nico must get better quickly otherwise the threads about how the backup is better will start to appear,
He is very talented, very young and inexperienced. He doesn't make all good decisions but he needs to learn and takes his lumps. I believe we will see an improved Nico against Bama!It will be entertaining to see the love for Nico poring out of some of these sh!theads in a few weeks. They will be saying “I always believed in him” type of drivel.
So if someone has a different opinion than you, you think troll or go be a fan of another team? You're the worst kind of fan. It's his opinion, who cares? Nobody bats an eye when you post one of your incoherent, rambling, peyote fueled thoughts. Just block the dude if you don't like his opinion. There's a team down in Tuscaloosa, and another in Athens, and yet another in Norman; all wearing a uniform color more to your liking. Pick one and root for it. History is spotted with disappointed people who ASSumed someone was a savior, a god in human form, resurrected Arthur, or some prophesized hero or another. Then when such a person didn't, especially, immediately, live up to their expectation, accused them of being demon spawn, fakes, failures, pretenders, and worse. And here you are.
That's one of the best compliments I've received this season!!!! Got another one?So if someone has a different opinion than you, you think troll or go be a fan of another team?
