Not that much in-state either, so you gotta go into bama, ga, fl, la, and tx. The UT brand and facility will help but you gotta play against 5* guys with 4* guys for a yr or 2.

I was surprised to hear what instate recruits said about dooley as well. Conceited and arrogant? Never woulda thot that but too many of them said he never even looked at them or he didnt spend time on the really big ones. I know our top instate recruit this year verbally committed to usc. USC AND LANE KIFFIN! Tha seems like a kid who wants to stick it to us for not pursuing him more aggressively

Baseball was destroyed too, along with football. You are right. This definitely spans all athletics with Mike Hamilton. It isn't just football at all. Not even close. It is why I will have trouble believing in Cuanzo Martin until he proves me wrong. When all is said and done, Coach Zo is still a Hamilton hire, and that can't be good.

How many worse AD's have there been anywhere, not just Tennessee? I'd love to try to find a worse AD than Mike Hamilton at any school. I bet I couldn't.

Eddie Gruenwald was involved on the Pearl hire. I think that's the key difference. Don't know if he was on the search committee that yielded Cuonzo.

This may sound strange, but after the names we've been thru, im not so sure that john chavis wouldnt beat em all. Hes a tn guy and could unite the fanbase as well as any. He could prob recruit better than all 3. And he knows the SEC in and out.

He has zero exp as head coach tho. And i dont know if he would want to be front and center in the spotlight. He likes being a defensive coord

Hes a defensive guy and he wants to prove himself. He feels like auburn passed on him because hes black and his wife is white. He is a leader of young men and would prob do ok here, but the fans will not be happy unless its gruden or peyton manning

I wouldn't mind Petrino as long as somebody hired a good DC for him,but him giving to his mistress a job, want cut it at UT,iut isn't that he had a affair,but that he gave her a job ,if it wasn't for that,he would probably still be at Arky

Tressell and petrino are the best proven coaches, but i doubt if tennessee will take a chance on anymore bad PR.

Yeah. He would be very limited this yr, but someone will pick him up next yr at a bargain basement price. Petrino looks worse because it is his personal life problems. Infidelity and immorality and so on. I think most people believe every big school does what tressell and OSU did so he will be forgiven easier. Hell they will both probably land somewhere next yr. Petrino was a multi-offender too.....i believe.

i think there was a woman involved in his last coaching job too,i don't think Tressel will,the school will have to show why he should be let back into coaching before his suspension is over with,i wouldn't thing the NCAA would let him back

I just look at it like Petrino would be done if he pulled some dumb stuff so I dont think he would but dont know him so you never know. But if you are going to hire an unproven coach then I just think its dumb not to at least go after Petrino. I mean if the new coach flops TN goes deeper in the hole and if Petrino did something crazy you fall deeper in the hole. So might as well get a proven winner thats my opinion.
