Nightmare Scenario

Ridiculous list. We are and will remain ahead of Indiana, and we will be ahead of Miami. ASU will never rise that high, nor Oregon fall that far. Texas will likely drop below us if they lose, Georgia might if they lose the SECCG. And as others have mentioned, the B1G championship game is set: PSU and Oregon.

Someone didn’t read. I stated I was listing 12 teams and that I wasn’t listing them in a specific order.

ASI is in if they win their title. There’s no guarantee Tx drops out. Same with Georgia.

So you don’t think it’s possible for the committee to put a 2 loss Texas over a 2 loss Tennessee? It’s obviously possible.

Who is in the big ten title game? Just replace Oh State winning the big ten with anyone but Oregon and the nightmare scenario is still possible.

A 1 loss Oregon will be ahead of us. A 2 loss Oh State may be ahead of us.

Not at all. I don't believe at all Texas can lose to a 3 loss A&M and only drop 4-5 spots in the rankings....

Lmao, Osu cant win the big10, Miami is dropping more than 2 spots and Indiana isn't jumping back ahead of us for beating 1-10 Purdue.

Okay, Penn State wins it. Makes no difference. Point is anyone other than Miami, Oregon, and Texas winning gives other teams a chance to pass us.

I think it’s slim. But it’s possible

I literally just gave you a scenario. A&M and SMU both winning their conference could be enough to knock us out
No, you literally just gave a nutjob-like conspiracy theory scenario that will not happen.
How in the blue hades do you even have Ohio State at 1 after a loss to that soft Michigan team?

If that’s to the SEC champion, it would be the best loss of any other 2 loss SEC team.

I don’t think the committee is saying “you have to fall at least 6 spots if you lose!”. Rather they’re looking at resumes, right?

Oregon from 1 to 12? Nope.
Ohio State is gone, and will drop. No championship.
Indiana isn’t jumping us.
Miami falls below us.
Georgia and Tennessee moves up.
We are in the playoffs.

You should read things before criticizing them.

“I’m not saying that will be the order”….I was simply listing 12 teams that could be in

Texas losing tonight would be 10-2 with no ranked wins, a blowout at home, and a loss to a 3 loss team.

Tennessee would be 10-2 with a win over a Top 12 ranked Bama and beat the best win on Texas's resume (Vandy) by a bigger margin than they did.

I’m not impressed by Texas either, but you and I aren’t voting. The committee has been impressed by Texas given they’re currently 2

A&M wins the SEC
Miami doesn’t fall below us after their loss
Texas stays ahead of us despite their loss
Oh State wins the Big 10

1. Oh St
2. Texas A&M
3. SMU
4. Boise
5. Az State
6. Penn State
7. Indiana
8. Miami
9. Georgia
10. Texas
11. Notre Dame
12. Oregon

I’m not saying that will be the order (haven’t taken the time to think about the exact order), only saying there’s a chance we could be left out if those things happen
Put the crack pipe down.

Miami was #6 before their loss and they're not playing in their championship game. They're out of the CFP more than likely. Ohio State doesn't play for their conference championship. Indiana will never move ahead of us with their strength of schedule. AZ St. has no chance at all to go to #5 from #16. Either does Boise. I just don't get your logic on these moves.. please explain further.

I’m not saying Az St will be 5. I’m saying they will be in. I’m not saying Boise will be top 5. I’m saying they will be in in.

You don’t get my logic, because you didn’t read my post. I clearly stated I wasn’t attempting to list them in order. Just listing 12 that could be in over us

I think the only one I was wrong about is Indiana. If Indiana can’t jump us (wouldn’t make sense for them to), then I think we are safe.

I can’t think of another team that could possible be in.
