LA wouldn't trade that pick. It would have to be one hell of a deal for LA to even consider it. If anything, that strengthens my point more. If conventional wisdom and LA management seems to be leaning towards picking Ball at #2, then anybody that would want to trade up knows that have to bring a good deal. If on the other hand the Lakers play like they are soft on the idea of selecting Ball, then a team that wants to trade up may not feel compelled to put together a blockbuster package.
My point is, the Lakers are in a position where they don't need to be engaging in misdirection or misinformation. It would only work to their detriment. Ball is theirs for the taking without much effort or shenanigans.
I agree with that. But is he worth putting up with Lavar?
Did you know the iconic goth artichtecture at Duke's West campus was designed by a black man? A black man who wasn't even allowed to visit the campus and see his work because of Jim Crow segregation?
I remember something like that more than I remember the name Card Gym.
Not a lot of dunkers, no....but basketball is huge in Mormon culture. There are some pretty good ballers in Utah. I remember playing with one guy in particular who had a scholly to Alabama in hoops but walked away after his mission. And of course, we'd play with football players and those dudes could mash. Dennis Pitta, for one.
New Foot Locker Fathers Day commercial with 2017 NBA Draft prospects is pretty good.
