I mean he could be great. And I dont mean to talk ill. Could be nothing going on. But, if what people are saying is indeed true and Rutgers is moving on. And their head coach is a huge Sh-yea-no. How can you say lack of any ethical or moral compass without saying lack of ethical or moral compass? You know a recruit is not that great when Rutgers passes on him
I know some of you don’t put much stock in what the VQ guys have to say, but to me their most recent OL update makes a lot of sense. Here it is for anyone interested:
We mentioned in the War Room a couple of weeks ago about the young offensive linemen benefitting from being thrown into the fire in the spring. All those young guys benefitted from the work they got. Maybe no one more than Jesse Perry whose biggest improvement came in pass protection. Perry made real strides in that area in spring and is carrying more confidence into the summer.
Some of that confidence comes from simply getting bigger and stronger. Perry was listed around 275 pounds when he signed. He’s now over 300 pounds. He’s a guy that won over the coaching staff in summer camp before his senior year and landed an offer. There’s some real vibes that evaluation is going to pay off for the Vols.
Tennessee has taken a long hard look at their offensive line numbers exiting spring practice. After seeing what Gage Ginther, Jesse Perry and others showed during spring, and having loved how Bennett Warren and Jeremias Heard showed up physically a couple of weeks ago, we expect Tennessee to focus more on interior lineman for this class over tackle.
Don’t get me wrong, Petty, Sanders and Juan Gaston are big names that Tennessee is going to swing hard for, but much of the focus is going to be on the interior. Basically the tackle spot is a ‘go big or go home’ approach with the previous three we mentioned.

It sounds like some of the self-proclaimed recruiting geniuses don't know nearly as much as they think they do. Many of our OL signees that they swore didn't have the ability to play OT are now being evaluated by our coaching staff as solid options at OT.I know some of you don’t put much stock in what the VQ guys have to say, but to me their most recent OL update makes a lot of sense. Not all teams need OT with the same skill sets. Stamina and quick return to the line are importan for us. Run/pass mix is a factor as well. It SEEMS that classic short yardage drive blocking has been sacrificed for other skills that fit our run game and less than classic 5 step drop plays. My ASSUMPTION that it alters preferred criteria for the entire OL as it relates to tempo .It sounds like some of the self-proclaimed recruiting geniuses don't know nearly as much as they think they do. Right. Duncan and Heard always made more sense at OT.It sounds like some of the self-proclaimed recruiting geniuses don't know nearly as much as they think they do. CJH has taken us from begging and barely scraping by to……..picking and choosingI know some of you don’t put much stock in what the VQ guys have to say, but to me their most recent OL update makes a lot of sense. Here it is for anyone interested:

Who cares. If they give up a starting guard spot to transfer out for a tackle position, best of luck to them. Easy enough to grab a guard from the portal. Keep stockpiling high school tackle prospects. You’ll end up with ugas average 350 lb per offensive line.Yeah, but if you try to slide them inside, and they don’t want to. They’ll just transfer
Date was June 3rd and it was going to be Tennessee. 100% Tennessee. They got him, locked him... They just started backing off, now I think this is more of a case where Matthews was telling the school he wants to commit and the school is like "hold on let us look and see what our board is like right now."
-Rutgers RivalsAfter that, he was going to commit to Rutgers on June 5th following the official visit and the same thing happened.
