How? Like I said you sound mad annoyed. You must really like the history of America it must hurt your soul that they are taking down monuments.
The monument yankin is a different subject...and yeah that pisses me off. Bunch of knuckleheads inventing outrage and using it as license. Renaming arenas because someone wasn’t woke 50+ years ago is fragility in liquid form, but at least they aren’t dressed in tactical gear destroying wantonly.

So they are knuckleheads for realizing the truth? Inventing outrage? Do you come up with this in your sleep 😂? So if they had a stadium named Hilter arena and it was around for 50 years and Jewish ppl got upset about it. You telling me they are in the wrong for taking action?

I mean literally Bill Cosby went to jail for something he did 30+ years ago.

Why would Jewish people be upset by the name Hilter? Tricky thing about “realizing the truth” is determining WHO’S truth it is. Social just woke mobs like to declare that for everybody and invite no discourse. Fully awake now but that’s about to be corrected. Look forward to your next condescending post.

You’re comparing racial consciousness to drugging women for the purpose of sexual assault?
He called me ignorant, and surely will pin me with something like how I am ignoring how poor outcomes for black people etc. etc. are clearly and solely the result of rampant systemic racism. It's apparent he doesn't believe in the concept of agency and responsibility.

hmmm.....speaking of Jews, where's your comment on the MILLIONS of Jews that were enslaved by black people for 400 years in Egypt? For those of you in Tuscaloosa, Egypt is in AFRICA

Slavery was an institution on the continent of Africa amongst various tribes and peoples on that continent prior to the then "New World" being known. Once the New World was opened up, slavers on the continent of Africa just had a new market in which to sell. The idea white Europeans routinely went into the bush and rounded up free black Africans and putting them on slave ships bound for America is largely a myth. Ships would pull up at the docks and slave markets of Africa and black Africans already holding other black Africans in slavery would sell them off.

And surprise surprise, it is still happening today. One of the world's worst slave markets re-fired up after Dear Leaders Barack and Hillary destabilized Libya (and much of North Africa).

Black lives surely mattered to those two.

Why don’t people put their energy into something that actually benefits someone. Changing the name on a building doesn’t help anyone. It doesn’t make anyone less racist. Why not use that energy to help a child or someone else in need.

As if it’s entirely impossible to do both? 😂

And how do we know they’re not doing the latter already?

I get it now...there can be no mention or suggestions on improving alleged racial injustice until people in Chicago stop shooting each other.

Glad we cleared that all up. 😂
If you're so fragile that you the name of a basketball arena equates to racial injustice, we all get the last laugh.

Good luck.

And that same fragility extends to anyone who equates renaming a building to “erasing history”.

The difference being that old whitey is not blaming anyone and everyone else for their problems, while people who want to rename a basketball arena promote a culture devoid of education, encouraging of substance abuse, approving of the mistreatment of women, and that lifts absentee fathers up with pride. And we definitely don't keep electing the same idiots that foster that behavior.

It's so embarrassing that a single word or an exceedingly rare action set off violence and destruction largely of their own people. Imagine living a life where the slight utterance of a single word sets off the rage detectors while living in a world of decay and poverty. Talk about giving up agency and living a powerless life. Any 12 year old can set off a riot with that kind of sensitivity.

It doesn't stop. Every early civilization captured and maintained slaves, Greeks, Romans, Egyptians, Europeans everyone. It was part of the spoils of war, losers become slaves of the winners. This was never more true anywhere than in Africa where the major tribes held millions of slaves. In fact, they sold their slaves to slavers from around the world for decades. To eradicate all evidence of racists and slavery all world history must be destroyed.

Renaming an arena or removing a monument does not eradicate history.

So again, until everything is fixed in the so-called black community, there can be no discussion on other matters affecting the so-called black community.

We covered that already.

It's an opinion of prioritization. You have millennia of history showing that governing bodies in republics operate slowly, and the people that can make change have 24 hours in a day like the rest of us. What use is a big ugly mural painted on a street or a protest about the letters on a building when that time could have been put to better use to do things like, say, actually clean up trash or paint a house or work to educate someone? I'd much rather see economic success and better livelihoods for all Americans than 'protesters' crapping up their own communities or standing around, thumb up ass, yelling about letters on a building. Those people could be bringing and actual well-being to their communities.

But go ahead, assume that everyone can do everything at once. Recent history vehemently disagrees with you, again demonstrated in the sorry state of things, but it must be all about the feels.

Is it the right thing to do? I get your annoyed but why should we honor somebody that hated black ppl? Especially in a sport that is predominantly black.
If we are going to use this kind of reasoning then wouldn’t it be appropriate to isolate people who hate whites?
