Have you been watching the same Democratic party the last 20 years as I've been? With a 0 member "majority" they're going to be lucky to pass a budget, much less anything that shakes up the status quo.It didn't.
Doesn't mean someone hasn't been putting something together this week which I think was the implication of the post.
Im sure this piece was written with bias at all. The writer definitely didn't cherry pick which states to use. Give me a break, this article is a jokeâTHE FACTS:
Connecticut residents paid an average of $15,643 per person in federal taxes in 2015, according to a report by the Rockefeller Institute of Government. Massachusetts paid $13,582 per person, New Jersey paid $13,137 and New York paid $12,820.
California residents paid an average of $10,510.
At the other end, Mississippi residents paid an average of $5,740 per person, while West Virginia paid $6,349, Kentucky paid $6,626 and South Carolina paid $6,665.
Low-tax red states also fare better when you take into account federal spending.
Mississippi received $2.13 for every tax dollar the state sent to Washington in 2015, according to the Rockefeller study. West Virginia received $2.07, Kentucky got $1.90 and South Carolina got $1.71.
Meanwhile, New Jersey received 74 cents in federal spending for tax every dollar the state sent to Washington. New York received 81 cents, Connecticut received 82 cents and Massachusetts received 83 cents.
California fared a bit better than other blue states. It received 96 cents for every dollar the state sent to Washington.
On average, states received $1.14 in federal spending for every tax dollar they sent to Washington. Thatâs why the federal government has a budget deficit.
Of course not every person in a blue state is a Democrat, and not everyone in Red State is a Republican. But you see the pattern. Blue States are funding our government while red states are the âwelfare queensââ
West VA fixing to be in the catbird seat. Both sides will be courting him. Hookers and coke will be flowing in the Mountaineer State
Well also consider how many people retire to "welfare states" and your SS check and MC benefits follow you as "federal money". So if thousands of people retire to FL/TX/TN etc. each year the amount of federal dollars that state receives goes higher and higher.Im sure this piece was written with bias at all. The writer definitely didn't cherry pick which states to use. Give me a break, this article is a joke
The whole damn narrative is baseless. No state sends money to the Feds. Only individuals and companies do. And individual taxes is like 90% of federal tax receipts. If you take the social security and Medicare taxes out of the math it all falls apart. Those taxes have nothing to do with a state other than where individuals live. And those taxes are compulsory to the individual regardless of where they live. Itâs a stupid argument and holds no water.Im sure this piece was written with bias at all. I'm really hoping they go after guns first and foremost. That will galvanize conservatives regardless of their opinion of Trump and will pull a lot of people in the middle back to the right in a hurry. It would make the midterms a bloodbath, we'll see if they're smart enough to figure that out.I just look at the first Patriot Act that was passed 98-1. Now, I don't think anything coming out will resemble those numbers, but we're foolish to think the rhetoric that's been going on the last few days won't amount to legislation that'll be extremely anti-conservative.
Yep. But hopefully OH wastes his time trying to find another article.Well also consider how many people retire to "welfare states" and your SS check and MC benefits follow you as "federal money". I just want to buy 1000 rounds of 223 and 500 of .30-06 before they go full potato.I'm really hoping they go after guns first and foremost. States That Spend the Most and Least on WelfareSo refute the facts or sit down.
Yep. There is zero excusing this. Thatâs ok they need to keep this **** up. It is just gonna piss people off till enough is enough. And Twitter took them down.
So much for those that said the President's account wouldn't be touched.
It seems like they didn't post the wages made in each state, also. I mean a lot of Connecticut folks may pay more in taxes than many in Mississippi make. Does he want somebody who makes $10.00 an hour to pay $14,000 a year in taxes or what?Im sure this piece was written with bias at all. The writer definitely didn't cherry pick which states to use.
