I have to say I’m VERY impressed with UCLA. The supporting cast around Betts played their roles to perfection. Cori Close is coaching a good game so far.

UCLA just too hot, 6-9 from 3 they usually make 8 a game. Hard to compete with that kind of shooting.

UCLA won't stay that hot and SC won't stay this cold. Even so, not sure SC can overcome. UCLA looks to have a more sound game plan.

South Carolina girls look like they’re playing under water in the first half. Haven’t seen a SC team look this sluggish in a very long time. Maybe some nerves making them tight, idk but that was rough.

Got their butts absolutely handed to them in the first half.

I maintain Dawn is making some lineup mistakes. Fulwiley and Tessa Johnson should be starting the game. Pao Pao doesn’t bring enough energy for me either, she’s a shrinking violet out there. They need to let Milaysia do her thing from the tip and feed off her energy.

This SC team plays like they don’t like each other as well. Hate to say that, but they just don’t have the chemistry. Nobody seems to be talking or lifting each other up.

Coaching (or lack thereof) might get in the way, but I think talent will get her there this year.

Kinda reminds me of Sandy Brondello for the Liberty.

Really surprised and impressed with the UCLA defense so far. Rice is still not 100% but working her way back for UCLA, and when do they get Leger-Walker healthy?

So many teams dealing with the same. it’s going to be a long season, and it’s going to take a while to see the top contenders separate themselves from the rest, if they ever do!

I have a feeling all of the top teams will look completely different in a couple of months.

Gottlieb had one of the best forwards ever in Kristine Anigwe but never developed her a bit. Same player for 4 years and had no pro career to speak of. She has no idea what to do with a player like Iriafen. She killed her draft stock going to USC. Should have stayed at Stanford.

South Carolina is struggling with some serious on-court chemistry issues.
I believe that could be caused by a number of different factors.
If not resolved, things could really get shaken up during or after this season.

From what little I have seen so far, South Carolina looks a little lost on defense. Not moving their feet very well and no contesting shots very well. Things may change in the second half. We will see in a few minutes. Actually, after watching the first 15 minutes of the second half, neither team is playing very well.

Oof this one is over I’m afraid. SC just doesn’t look interested. Got punched in the first 2 minutes of the game and they have played dazed and confused since.

Biggest crowd UCLA has seen in a while. It has been a factor and Sc walked into a hornets nest in this one. Doubt anyone beats UCLA on their court this season. A lot of good teams this year several teams could win the National Championship.

Don’t think so, just don’t think Dawn liked what she saw there. Hard for me to comprehend though. Johnson is a 0 out there. Doesn’t do anything for them. Occasionally makes a good defensive stand.
