That General Women's Basketball forum was created as a compromise because some UConn fans didn't want or they felt like there was too many non UConn topics was being posted on their forums and they didn't want to lose the traffic the non UConn fans bring to the board. They are cordial for the most part but it's hard for them to admit a non UConn player would displace one of their starters.

Right, but the point is that it created a sub-community for the purpose of discussing other teams and the UConn tribalists either stay out or play nicely in the sandbox (for the most part). Not like here where regular posters complain about discussing other teams in the "Non-Lady Vols" thread

Not from what I've seen. They upgrade to Boston from ONO in a second, and most would be willing to trade Williams too.

Paige is the only untouchable one. They also seem to really like Evina.

They only like E. because she came from UT and Geno has pumped her up. That excitement seems to be fading.

I think you would be heavily censored, if not outright banned at some point. You definitely wouldn't be a well-received member.

Maria runs a tight ship, and you toe the party line. With each passing year, they morphed into more of a fan/praise site vs. a forum to talk about basketball. I joined here when I finally had enough of her totalitarian regime.

For someone who calls herself a writer she has a huge problem with objectivity and differing opinions.

I used to like the site for recruiting information. That seems to be non existent right now on any site. You can find out as much or more on the WBB Blog for free. Of course we'd like in depth coverage of what Patterson, Smith, Bransford others are doing and what teams they feel strongest about in 2022. That information seems to no longer be available like it once was in some past seasons.

Yeah, she's awful. Maybe I didn't notice it when Pat was coach, but it became obvious when Holly took over. You were practically Hitler if you criticized Holly. I was still kind of supporting Holly back then, but noticed that she had zero tolerance for any Holly critique.

There really isnt anything of value there. Even Maria's "Inside Scoop" is so censored that it's practically fiction.

They didn't see Sabrina Ionescu cracking their starting lineup last season, or the starters from Notre Dame that went to back to back title games would start for them.

I don't recall a consensus saying Sabrina wouldn't crack their starting lineup, but they debated if she would rack up triple doubles and put up the same #'s in Geno's system. They had an irrational hatred of ND, but spoke highly of Turner and Shepard. Arike and Marina were a different story 🤣

Yes. Really think that’s a Kellie and/or Goldwire thing. This coaching staff seems to try to keep recruiting as quiet as humanly possible.

To the extent that they are almost certainly asking players and their families to not make posts or mentions about their recruitment. You just don’t hear a whiff about it in the last two years.

I’m sure Maria hated being kept on the dark.

I mean, that's what Maria prided herself on, right? Her very curated/manufactured "access" to Holly...as long as Maria wrote EXACTLY what Holly told her to.

I hope Kellie is like, "Who are you again? Sorry, I'm busy. Come back after the season is over."

A couple of years ago some UConn fans left the Boneyard and created their own UConn fan forum. The reason - they were disgusted with the Boneyard's pandering to non UConn fans.

Neither do I. Ever since she threatened to sic her FBI brother on a UConn fan. I also suspect that she had much to do with the Moore debacle.

Wouldn’t doubt it. That was before my time. I just can’t stand her “holier than thou” attitude anytime she speaks.
