They are essentially their press or bust. If they don’t get easy scores off turnovers they cannot beat teams.

That was an absolutely horrible game for us to open the season with. Presses and turnovers have been our primary issue for several seasons. If we played them now I think we would win comfortably. The ball was like a hot potato and we were not ready for that much pesky defense that early in the season.

I’ll give a huge credit here to Geno for keeping this game close, something hardly anyone has mentioned. He game planned several different defensive looks and employed all of them at various points in the game which was effective as hell. He also managed the clock like a maestro the last 90 seconds. He is the Goat, not the first Goat, but the present Goat and likely the historic Goat when it’s all said and done, what a brilliant tactician and teacher of offensive basketball, he has no peer.

For all the other teams that think this close win by SC proves they are beatable (they are of course), you better have a coach like GA that can prepare and execute a game plan like he does, I’ve never seen another like him tbh. He outcoached Dawn tremendously in this game, from an X’s and O’s Standpoint. But there is more to the job, and Dawn excels at those other aspects, she might be the best right now at collecting talent and building a team atmosphere where everyone has a role and executes it.

Teams have figured Florida out this season. There was no scout of them last year and they had some talented individual players.

Now that teams know what actions they want to run and how they want to score they are struggling. Finley is going to have to try something other than “exploiting mismatches” because at the moment they don’t have very many in the SEC.

Lots of one on one from Florida, not a very good passing team. Ole Miss is baiting them into attacking and then doubling and they are turning it over time and time again.

I love a team that hangs its hat on defense we were the personification of that in year’s past but unfortunately we are not as athletic as a whole to do that.two kind of teams hurt us a team with a lot of motion and a team with speed and I might add our strength and conditioning isn’t where it should be

Talking about a way to lose a game Auburn was trailing 52 to 51 with 7 seconds left in the game. Poffenburger commits a technical foul which gives Auburn two foul shots and the ball out. Their 85 percent free throw shooter misses both free throws and then they fail to get the ball in bounds in five seconds. They then foul Arkansas and they make both free throws and then desperation shot by Auburn ends it 54 to 51 Arkansas.

U can’t predict what’s going to happen, and Lsu beat us head to head so they are better right now. if We win out we could share or win the conference out right.

It’s still wide open as far as possibilities for the top three teams….they are ranked correctly right now imo but a lot can change in a few weeks…if SC beats LSU I think they run the table until the Ncaa’s
