Wow. I sincerely hope SCAR never has a rash of injuries. But if many SCAR fans have your attitude it may be unavoidable. (Galatians 6:7)There will be a minimum of 8 players available to Uconn…..if they only are playing 5 then that is their problem for not recruiting players that can contribute in February.
Looks like SC has two token starters as it is clear that Cardoso and Johnson should be starting over Fletcher and Saxon. At least they are getting starters minutes which is making the difference.
Actually, SCar beat them last year when Azzi played 16 minutes because of a stomach illness, and Paige was at about 75%. But yes, UConn lost to a better team last year.I disagree. I don’t think any of UCONNs stars would affect how the game would be won by SC. They beat them last year with all their stars available. Just because you’re down players doesn’t mean that once those players return, they are just gonna go off. You also have to remember the players who have had to step up due to lack of player availability, their production could go down with the reintroduction of players who are coming back from injury. So really, it just evens itself out.
Notre Dame was THE program when they beat Connecticut five out of seven times. Baylor was THE program when they had two of the five best players in the country and had won national championship (during that stretch). Oregon was supposed to be the new THE program. Currently South Carolina has had two stretches because they’ve had two of the best players in the game, Wilson and Boston. Before I believe they are THE new top program I have to see more continuous success. If they win this year it will be three national championships. That puts them in the same category with Stanford, Notre Dame, Baylor, La Tech, USC, all with either two or three, still far far behind Tennessee and Connecticut.SC is the program now
Reese just shoved a player to get the offensive board..no call
