I really enjoy watching Clark play and argued that she was better than Bueckers when they were freshmen, but being the centerpiece of championships is a strong argument. It's what has kept Maravich out of serious GOAT consideration despite the fact that he could do things with the ball not seen before or since. A scoring machine and most entertaining player ever.

I grew up on Maravich and was inspired by him to play basketball as a kid. I was watching Clark play last night and she is the first person to totally remind me of Maravich. I went on to a LSU site after the game, and many there had the same impression. One positive difference is that Iowa has a good coach while Maravich had his father as a pitiful coach at LSU. I hope one day they rename the Iowa arena after Clark just like LSU has the Pete Maravich Assembly Center (PMAC).

I wonder if Iowa can beat SC? SC always seem to pull away from teams, regardless of how good they start. So much depth.

That said, it does seem their was some bias in tonight's game-- obviously want to see the two most glorified women's teams this year play each other.

I believe someone official (Kellie?) did say that Marta leaving was not related to her Mom's illness. It was never used as an excess or a excuse.

Honestly, that position is so crowded I think its a good decision for Marta.

Wow - the Va Tech vs. Ohio State has been fun to watch with such great shooting and well-executed offense. For those people who mostly don't watch women's basketball and then saw the LSU vs. Miami game, I imagine they got their worst stereotypes confirmed about how women can't shoot and play an ugly brand of basketball. I hope they watched the Iowa game last night and this game tonight to show how good the women's game can be.

I have no idea who to root for. Both teams are like able l, and I have no dog in this fight. Entertaining game, though. The games tonight have been fun so far.

I'm for the Hokies because I really like their coach, it would make our loss to them easier to swallow, and because I imagine CT fans want OSU to win because it would make their loss to them easier to swallow. lol

We know both are great teams, and Tennessee lost to both this season. Neither is a bad loss when they’re battling it out in the E8. Jacey Sheldon is just so darn likeable. But so is Georgia Amoore. Decisions, decisions…
