Non-Lady Vol Basketball News 2024-25

Drama karma. Hard to see how this goes well.

Kim has always prided herself on being direct and up-front with her own strong opinions. She has never shied away from making inflammatory and/or controversial statements.

And while I wish whatever damaging comments may be about to come out weren't going to be from an anonymous source, I'd bet the farm WaPo will have found the source highly credible, and their information accurate, before printing it.

What is more likely to happen, though, is that the story isn't nearly the bombshell it is now being billed as being on fan sites. It probably won't amount to anything more than everyone already knows. KM has a big, dumb mouth. No breaking news there.

Whatever. I just cringe when I perceive righteous indignation from someone who is likely guilty as sin of whatever they are vehemently denying is true.

UConn to play Syracuse on Monday. Interestingly enough these two teams played a secret scrimmage in the preseason (very little info out there about it), so they are semi familiar with each other. Of course, that was before more UConn injuries and the Huskies had freshmen who were still wet behind the ears.

Syracuse plays zone defense and Fair is absolutely phenomenal. I think UConn will struggle against these things. That being said, Syracuse tends to go on scoring droughts and are prone to TOs. And making someone other than Fair carry the team to a win is a big ask for Syracuse.

The Orange are more than capable but they’re also unpredictable. And Fair went down again at the end of Q4. She seemed okay but who knows if this is something that might bother her next game.

Thanks for coming to my TedTalk!

You know women’s basketball has really made it when MSM is writing political hit pieces about key leaders lol.

It’s a strange time to be alive is all I’ll say.
You have read the forthcoming article?
No?

Then why is it a “political hit piece”?

Since when is Mulkey a “key leader”?

Mulkey is a highly successful coach.

Some folks like her; others find her lacking as a person. Neither viewpoint makes her a key leader, much less a political figure.

I think they’re just saying the same people voting RJ as HM are the same people voting Fairfield into the AP Top 25? 🤔

Oh it's the media hates Tennessee narrative individuals harp on.gotcha..
Well something sure as hell happenedd bc there's zero possibility that RJ is not one of top 15 players in the country. Epically silly.

Dryea Carter was on a roll about it today, practically shouted 'Rickea is an All American' every chance she got.

Did I say a damn word about Rickea not being an AA? I was wondering why people were dogging a Fairfield team, which BTW has no say on their ranking.

Damn..

Yea she did and I loved it! Even asked Lobo if she voted for her (claims she did)

So it's Fairfield's fault the media voted Rickea Jackson as Honorable Mention.

Makes sense.🤣🤣
It shows where the media lacks knowledge wise the strength of teams nation-wide. Right now they hav Richmond, Fairfield and UNLV top 25 or just outside of it as well as some other questionable teams bas d on their records. 5th - 7th placed SEC teams would beat many of these teams badly. The team we crushed today was one of the best offensive teams efficiency-wise in the country but that is due to the level of competition they play at that mid major level. For whatever reason the media wants these mid major teams to have more representation and attempt to compare them to the power fives which is a joke.
